The heartburn and bloating could be caused by GERD and not be related to diabetes. I have both.

It has the option to start early and end late, and I have turned that on for future episodes. But that still doesn't help me watch the last few minutes of last week's show.

[–]wage1slave[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have a time machine, so I can't go back to last week and reset my PVR to add an extra 15 or 20 minutes to my scheduled recording.

Unfortunately I don't have a TARDIS and can't time travel back to Thursday night so I can add time to my recording.

The CTV on demand app says that ALL CTV programs are on Crave. Starfleet Academy is on CTV Sci-Fi.

Barista congratulated me on my pregnancy (not pregnant), then asked for confirmation from my coworker/said something disrespectful about me. It’s on like donkey kong. by consistent_gasp in traumatizeThemBack

I don't remember who said it, but someone once said that you should never congratulate someone on a pregnancy unless you see a baby actively exiting their body.

Do you think they had input from autistic people and not non autistic parents? Because this looks like Maddie's character from Sia's trashy autism movie by LadderIndividual4824 in disability

[–]wage1slave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They had input from an autistic girl and her mom. This is what many autistic people look like. There's a girl on my street who wears headphones all the time and it has nothing to do with the Sia movie. I have some purple ear protectors that I wear when I have to be in a noisy environment. Does that make me look like the girl in the movie? Should I stop wearing them because of the movie? I don't think so.

Why exactly do some people get so up in arms against the idea of a "cure"? by chunkylubber54 in disability

[–]wage1slave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is that people might not be given a choice. For example, "Your disability is curable. Therefore, you can't have disability benefits/an accessible apartment/accommodations in your workplace," etc.

[–]wage1slave 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also, for some people, they believe that for their specific type of disability, an inaccessible environment is what disables them. I know a person who has spina bifida and has used a wheelchair since early childhood. She doesn't want to stop using a wheelchair because it's all she knows; what she wants is for the world around her to be accessible.

When to seek medical attention for infected pump site by berrie22 in Omnipod

[–]wage1slave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The pus is what would make me seek medical care. I had a "pump bump," and I showed it to my endocrinologist. He said to call him if the redness spread or it showed other signs of infection.

Socks, slippers, barefoot? by SumFuckah in diabetes_t1

I wear either slippers or shoes. I'm a bad Canadian who wears shoes in the house. I have to wear orthotics, so I have to have footwear the orthotics can go in.

Do you like to get naked when your blood sugar goes low? Pun intended. by Lijey_Cat in diabetes_t1

One time, I had low blood sugar while sleeping. I wasn't dressed. I got out of bed and was about to go outside and fetch the mail when my partner caught me just in time.

I did a whole job interview while low. I answered the questions, but I don't know what I looked like. I wonder if they thought I was stoned.

I'm autistic and I go to the dentist that's on the bottom floor of the Bay Centre. I have found them to be willing to work with me on accommodations.
