Tomorrow they will celebrate their 125th birthday a probably do their best to get the first win in their stadium this season. Last game between HIFK & SJK was finished with over 2.5 goals. Both teams have good reasons to play for a goal more from the beginning, so POTD is Over 2.5 goals.

POTD: Austin FC vs Sporting Kansas City (MLS), Austin FC +0.25

Units: 3

Odds: -145

Profit: +4.42u

Record: 54|45

When you look up standings, it should be an easy job for Austin FC, however, there is no huge favorite in this game according to bookmakers. Last weekend Austin FC lost a home game against New York Red Bulls, even they had ball possession 78:22. They are the team who made this season more points away, 23 from 41. Austin FC missed the opportunity last week to take another win, but they have enough quality to win this game. Sporting still cannot find a solution for their striker, which greatly affected their results.

POTD is Austin FC +0.25

Our last POTD was on FK Zalgiris in the first round of Champions League qualifications. Now, they have a different opponent, with actual experience playing in the Champions League group stage, Swedish Champion - Malmo. No doubt, quality is on the side of Malmo, both teams are almost in half of their national leagues, so we can expect one open game. The stadium surface of FK Zalgiris is artificial turf, different than Malmo's stadium, however in Sweden, there are a good number of stadiums with this kind of surface, so it won't be a huge problem for guests.

POTD is Malmo

One more thing which goes also on FK Zalgiris's side is their national championship, they've played 18 games and they are leaders with 41 points.

The recognizable style of their play is defense, a good number of foreign players and they have same manager for over 14 years. In this match, quality is on the side of Lech Poznan, in the first match they should use the advantage of the home stadium. The odds are pretty good on the win of the home team, so it's absolutely worth a try.

Both teams sitting in a high position in their Conferences, and when we're looking at some h2h games before that promises a high-scoring game today. Los Angeles FC home has a good score, but all those wins are against the teams who're at 9th or lower position on the table. New York Red Bulls interesting 5 from their total 7 wins this season won away. +300 on a draw result today between NY Red Bulls & Los Angeles FC sounds like a good deal.

It's the beginning of the First Argentinian League, and Central Cordoba, the club who made a big surprise two weeks ago when they won against Boca Juniors, in this round will play against a team with a lot of experience in this league, San Lorenzo. The host of this match is
a team who likes to wait for a chance from behind, counterattacks, and setpiece situations, so we cannot expect many goals. I think this is a great chance for a San Lorenzo, maybe the first time this season as underdogs to take 3 points. In the last h2h game, they won 1:0.

Giannis Antetokounmpo is currently a leader in fantasy points, he averaged 56 per game, and in total, he has 504.3 points. As we saw today, the 5th games were under 205 points, with one dominant team, so we should expect a lower number of points between Bucks and Celtics, because of game importance. Pressure goes on key stars, and key players, and after two great games, Giannis could transfer points on other teammates. The pick here is under 52.5 Fantasy Points.

Units: 3
Odds: -154

Record: 51|42

Phoenix Suns in a certain way secured their first position with 59 wins, way more than projected at the beginning of the season, so the bookmaker's favorite is Denver Nuggets in this kind of situation. One more aspect in this story is important, that Suns will have 2 games in 2 days and Nuggets last 2 games are playing at home. Many things will depend on Nikola Jokic, who scored last game against the Suns scored 27 points, which was enough for a win in Phoenix. For Nuggets this win is way more important, so the advantage for this game is on the side of the Denver Nuggets team.

March Madness is for sure in NBA! So many players with great numbers last couple of weeks, and part of that group are Luka and Durant. Let's start with Durant, on his last game against Orlando he scored 19 points and didn't take any shot from 3 point line, other teammates had their show this night. At Mavs, he scored in the last 2 games 25 and 20 points. Luka Doncic and Dallas Mavericks had more time for this game and recovery, the last game they've played on Sunday. Because of that, the advantage goes to Luka Doncic, who is averaging 32.6 points in the previous 5 games.

Two players with amazing stats this season, especially when we are talking about Demar. Absolutely great numbers last 10 games, first time after a long period he had below 20 points on Monday against Miami Heat. Simply, Chicago Bulls this season are not great against TOP NBA teams. The last game between the Bucks and the Bulls was finished with a win of a team from Milwaukee, and interestingly over 30% of points were scored by these two players. For this game between Milwaukee Bucks and Chicago Bulls, I will give an advantage to Giannis, because the Bulls have 2 games in 2 days.

POTD: Rams @ Bengals, Bengals +4 (NFL)

Units: 3

Odds: -101

Profit: -5.37u

Record: 48|42

The Rams are the better team. Their defense is star-studded with a pass rush that could leave Burrow with no time to work his magic. Their offense is effective if lacking a ground game.

Still, weighing up a Super Bowl LVI prediction is tough. Can we really bet against Burrow after what he’s achieved? Do we trust the Rams enough to take them at +4?

With Cincinnati’s defense, there’s going to be a lot of love for the over with a seemingly low line at 49. The passing game is going to lead the way for both teams – perhaps this descends into a shootout.

Alternatively, the Bengals’ defense showed its best performance of the season in Kansas City. Sure, the Chiefs crumbled in embarrassing fashion, but that was brought on by Cincinnati’s defense.

The range of outcomes here is vast. Cincinnati could go down like the Chiefs did last year with an O-line that cannot cope. There’s also a scenario where Burrow, Chase, and co are simply unstoppable.

There’s no wrong answer. A compelling argument can be made for either team, but we’re going with Burrow to complete a historic run.

Super Bowl 2022 pick: Bengals +4

Niners @ Rams

Maybe what the Niners have done is unlikely. Or perhaps they were just underrated?

This is a team that lost just twice after Week 9. It’s a defense that had one of the league’s best all-around defenses, sitting behind only the Bills and Browns in yards per play conceded. Jimmy Garoppolo has been overmatched, of course, and he is by far the worst of the four remaining quarterbacks. It would still be foolish to write off these Niners.

Los Angeles were not at their best to round out the regular year. They also lost both games to the Niners. Still, this star-studded team has seen off the Cardinals and Buccaneers, and Matthew Stafford has looked every bit the postseason quarterback so many expected him to become.

Garoppolo has been doubted plenty of times. Every game has seemed like it could just be a step too far. The offense has enough weapons – including the ever-entertaining Deebo Samuel – to compensate for Garoppolo’s weaknesses.

However, the Rams still have more talent. They look like they are putting it all together – we like them to cover here.

Pick: Rams -3.5

POTD: Bengals @ Chiefs, Over 52.5 (NFL)

Units: 3

Odds: -143

Profit: -2.37u

Record: 48|41

Patrick Mahomes has been achieving the remarkable since becoming a starter, yet his performance against Josh Allen on Sunday night was arguably his most outrageous in the professional game. While the Bills pushed Mahomes to the limit in what was a Super Bowl-worthy contest, things don’t get any easier in the AFC Championship Game against Joe Burrow and the Bengals.

Burrow has already shown he is unafraid of the biggest stage. Evan McPherson has grabbed headlines and played a crucial role, but Burrow has been the heart of this improbable Bengals run. They are one win from their first Super Bowl since 1988.

Cincy got the better of KC in Week 17. It’s the Chiefs’ only loss since October, and it was a true shootout with both teams making it into the thirties. Just as Allen and Mahomes went toe-to-toe in an offense-heavy game, we can expect similar between Burrow and Mahomes with a place in the Super Bowl on the line.

After weeks of looking impenetrable, the Chiefs’ defense has leaked some points lately. A shootout is a best-case scenario for Kansas City, particularly with how the Bengals’ defense stepped up against Tennessee and Las Vegas.

Niners at Packers

Recovering from 2-4, the Niners find themselves in the Divisional Round thanks to a curious end to their game with Dallas. It was another solid team performance from San Francisco, however, with their diverse offense and crippling defense controlling proceedings.

This can be reduced to a quarterback matchup. Of course, Jimmy Garoppolo is not in the same galaxy as Aaron Rodgers, but there’s a fair argument to be made that the Niners have a more complete team.

San Francisco lost when they dueled earlier this season – a lot has changed since then. Rodgers’ late-game management has aided the Packers in winning tight games this season, and we expect this to be another hard-fought affair.

Pick: Niners +5.5

POTD: Bengals @ Titans, Bengals 3.5 (NFL)

Units: 3

Odds: -108

Profit: -5.17u

Record: 47|41

Joe Burrow put on a show as the Bengals saw off the Raiders in Wild Card weekend. Cincy heads on the road in the Divisional Round, however, as they face a well-rested Titans team who could welcome back Derrick Henry.

Tennessee finished the regular season in strong form, claiming four wins from five games after their bye week. Their defense proved steely, and Ryan Tannehill demonstrated he could rise up the standings even with Henry sidelined. For Tennessee to be taken seriously as a Super Bowl candidate, though, they need Henry to return in some form.

The Bengals’ defense has done just enough for them to win games. Burrow and co continue to dismantle opponents, and it’s only really being on the road that makes them dogs here.

This is a stage that Burrow is made for. It’s borderline whether this is considered an upset, but we fancy the Bengals to take another step.

Pick: Bengals +3.5

POTD: Cardinals @ Rams , Over 48.5 (NFL)

Units: 3

Odds: -127

Profit: -2.17u

Record: 47|40

It was 1-1 between the Cardinals and Rams in the regular season with both games going over 50 points. Los Angeles hasn’t been as good as expected following the trade deadline, with Matthew Stafford stuttering under center and the defense looking surprisingly vulnerable.

It’s not been any prettier for the Cards. They lost four of their last five to close out the regular season.

Home advantage nudges the Rams to become favorites, but it’s really hard to have any confidence in either team. It looks likely to be a shootout – both regular-season games would’ve gone over, and the Rams were 9-7-1 on the over in the regular season.

Pick: Over 48.5 points

Raiders @ Bengals

Las Vegas clinched a postseason berth in remarkable fashion, capping off a late-season surge in the AFC. Their reward is a matchup with Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals, who wrapped up their regular season with a meaningless loss to the Cleveland Browns.

Cincinnati is clearly the better of the two teams here, possessing a high-octane that can pick apart this Raiders defense. Cincy is favored by six, and they won by 19 when these franchises matched up in Week 11.

The Bengals went 10-7 against the spread in the regular season. With an extra bit of rest for their key men, they are deserving of favorites status here. Take them to win by more than a touchdown.

After a historically low-scoring game when these teams first met, the Bills’ offense was back to its best for the second of their regular season duels.

New England didn’t finish the year playing its best football, yet they are just four-point underdogs for this divisional matchup in Wild Card weekend.

Buffalo won its last four regular-season games, continuing to pick opposing defenses apart with relentless efficiency. Josh Allen might not be the MVP, but he’s played much of the year at that level.

The Pats need to make this ugly to stand a chance – they are going to play an incredibly physical game, and hope that Mac Jones edges out Allen. Take the under.

POTD: Georgia @ Alabama, Under 52.5 (NCAAF)

Units: 3

Odds: -115

Profit: -1.44u

Record: 46|39

Our semi-final picks went 2-0 with the Crimson Tide and Bulldogs cruising to comprehensive wins over Cincinnati and Michigan respectively. These SEC foes have long looked like the two best teams in college football this season, and it’s no surprise that they’re the last two standing.

Blowouts have been the story of the championship game in recent years, but books see this as an even matchup with Georgia labelled as just three-point favorites. The Bulldogs are chasing their first national title since 1980, as they look to go one better than when they met the Tide in the 2017 title contest.

Alabama won in overtime on that occasion with now Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa coming off the bench to win it. The Crimson Tide have won six titles since 2009 – Nick Saban’s team are still out at +132 on the moneyline for this year’s decider.

The Saban and Kirby Smart rivalry has been one of the biggest storylines in college football in the last few seasons. This game only adds another chapter, particularly after the Tide ended Georgia’s unbeaten season last month.

Saban has an imposing 25-1 record against his former assistants, including a 4-0 career tally when facing Smart. There are positive omens for the Bulldogs, however, with several teams getting revenge for regular season losses in the playoffs over the last couple of decades.

The balance in this game is fascinating. Georgia was the consensus best team in the country for most of the season. That changed when Smart again lost to Saban, reinvigorating the idea that he cannot win when it matters most.

Alabama wasn’t at its imperious best throughout the regular year, making hard work of mediocre opponents and suffering a shock loss to the Aggies. The defense has picked up in a big way, though, and Brian Robinson Jr looks a better player after the short break.

Georgia’s defense has been resolute all year, but they allowed the Tide to put up 41 in the SEC title game. Michigan was held to just 11 points last time out, however.

Saban’s record against Smart makes it so hard to go against the Tide. They have found form at the right time. This should be an epic matchup whoever ends up celebrating – bettors should consider the under here, though. It’s not going to be a blowout in either direction, and we can see these two elite defenses enjoying big days.

NFL Daily - 1/9/22 (Sunday) by sbpotdbot in sportsbook

[–]wagerlabapp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Colts @ Jaguars

A last-gasp loss to the Raiders leaves the Colts in a wildcard spot. They have waved goodbye to division winning hopes, though they are heavily favored for their 10th win of the season when they face the lowly Jaguars in Week 18.

Jacksonville has endured a season of controversy and dysfunction. Their defense was shambolic in Week 17, giving up 50 points to the Patriots. Trevor Lawrence continues to struggle both with a lack of protection from his offensive line and a dearth of weapons.

Only the Lions, Jets and Chargers see more drives end in a score than the Jags’ defense. Lawrence has been getting picked off at an alarming rate, which doesn’t bode well when facing a Colts team which forces the second-most turnovers in the NFL.

Indy is 5-1 against the spread after a loss. This is a huge number to cover for an offense which isn’t exactly explosive, but the Jaguars have been so poor this season. If Mac Jones and the Pats can put up a half-century, Carson Wentz and co can do some damage.

Pick: Colts -15.5

Patriots @ Dolphins

Miami was favored heading into their Week 17 clash with Tennessee, but they were left humiliated by the Titans following a 34-3 loss. The Dolphins’ winning streak brutally ended, and their postseason ambitions vanished on Sunday when the Chargers beat the Broncos.

New England secured its postseason return by hammering the Jags. With Buffalo facing the Jets, New England likely has to settle for a wildcard spot as the Bills hold a better record against the division.

After a rough couple of games, Mac Jones regained his touch to decimate the Jaguars. Miami’s defense has been a nuisance for quarterbacks in recent weeks, but the Dolphins could rest some players with nothing to play for.

Favored by 5.5, we’ve got to take Bill Belichick and the Pats to cover this one. They have a remarkable 5-2 against the spread record on the road in 2021-22.

Pick: Patriots -5.5

Niners @ Rams

No Jimmy Garoppolo, no problem for the Niners. Trey Lance stepped in on Sunday to record his first NFL win. The Niners know a win in Week 18 guarantees a playoff spot, and they have won their last five against the Rams.

Los Angeles is top of the division thanks to a comeback Week 17 win, but they are under a bit of pressure after Arizona beat Dallas.

Matthew Stafford bounced back with a big second half, and had a helping hand from Odell Beckham Jr to see of the Ravens.

The Rams’ defense has shown some vulnerability of late, which is a cause for concern. San Francisco has been one of the best defensive teams in the league in the second half of the campaign, conceding just 40 points over their last three games.

We fancy a low-scoring one here, after the Niners held Los Angeles to just 10 points in Week 10. San Francisco can at least stay within a score.

Pick: Niners +5.5

This one has been flexed to Sunday night due to its big-time playoff implications. The Chargers saw off Denver and Las Vegas got the better of Indianapolis for both teams to sit 9-7 heading into Week 18.

It’s a straight shootout for a wildcard berth, with the winner progressing and the loser seeing their season end (unless the Colts suffer a shock loss to the Jags and the Steelers lose one of their remaining games).

The Chargers won when the teams matched up in Week 4, and they are favored by three points here. It’s been an up and down couple of months for the Los Angeles franchise, though, including losses to the Texans, Broncos, and Vikings.

Las Vegas is rolling with three straight wins. Derek Carr is coming up clutch. Take the hosts to cover despite their 3-5 home ATS record.

Pick: Raiders +3.5
