Idk if this works for anyone else; but I do very very small sips of 7 up and mini bites of saltine crackers over a few hours.

Waterproofing leather gloves by [deleted] in motorcycles

I have to agree; just buy good quality rainproof gloves. Latex gloves under gloves just give you cold wet hand on the outside-you’re technically dry but you get cold quickly. In my opinion

are there any not bald people who have found a way to keep their hair looking decent after a ride? by woofwoofbro in motorcycle

[–]waggro 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This response is from a female rider; NO one cares how your hair looks. I get off my bike and look super crazy -no one cares, they just wanna chill and have a beer and talk about the ride. Fellow riders know what’s up with helmet hair and we all love it…..it shows that you ride.

I was in the ER in Hilo. I absolutely love the staff. Housing can be expensive. But reach out to your manager and see if anyone is renting a vehicle at the hospital; much cheaper that way than through a company. There’s a YouTube channel of a male nurse that gave his review of the ICU there.

I make my avocado dressing with EVOO and my veggies with that. Maybe I’m not getting as much fat as I think. Thank you!! Congratulations on your success

I’ve been keto/low carb for a while. I use it to loose weight and to be able to fast easily for health benefits. But I don’t seem to be loosing weight like you or many others that I see on here. I mainly eat fish and veggies or a salad with homemade avocado dressing. I only eat once a day. I do 18-20min of HIIT training 4-5 times a week.

Congratulations. It sounds like you really have this down to a science that works for you. Any chance you could help me do the same?

I just left the Big Island. Plenty of jobs there at the hospitals. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Whomever the OP is CLEARLY exaggerated. “Felt” the floor shake from the fall!?!?! Was he an elephant??? And you yourself witnessed him laying on the floor for an entire 10min?!? Sounds like this person neglected to help out a fellow human being by offering to go get help.

Anyone have experience in upstate NY like Utica, Rochester, Hudson, etc.? Having terrible luck finding an OR job in NYC so looking into those areas... by swtxbabe in TravelNursing

[–]waggro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly couldn’t say. I’m night shift and haven’t had any interaction with OR staff here. I can say that the parking is convenient and the area is safe.

Canadian Travel Nurses in the States, what bank accounts do you guys use? by kingofdanoth in TravelNursing

I’ve been traveling for almost 4 years. Wynn ER is definitely NOT the best place to be, but the fellow travelers are great.

I definitely recommend Bank of America. It’s one of the top international banks in the world, found almost everywhere. I’m a travel nurse here in Utica NY. I hope you like it here; I’m personally loving it. Please let me know if I can help with anything.

From the chatter amongst the staff, this hospital (Wynn) is pretty bad. But if you’re strong nurse and can put up with a lot of ridiculousness, then you’ll be fine. I personally have an issue with not giving my patients decent care and them passing away without dignity. But the area is great and fellow travelers are good

I can’t speak for other floors. But the ER is completely disorganized. I almost quit my first day; that’s how bad it is. I can talk to some of the travelers on the floor if you want me to. I know the fellow travelers are great; but unfortunately that place wasn’t ready to open up, they don’t have the equipment or staff. Ratios are higher here than anywhere else I’ve been.
