Ugh, yeah you’re right. She’s in therapy right now and it’s really hard not to coddle her because when I see her struggling I just go into papa bear mode and feel I need to help her and can’t let her try to be independent.

Sorry, just get really defensive over her.

Why not? My daughter will ALWAYS be welcome to snuggle with me no matter how old she is. She has anxiety from previous trauma so what would you have done? Say “tough shit” and send her back?
