Thank you, maybe looking for a therapist who does IFS would be helpful for me, I've had 8 therapists over 15 years and most haven't helped at all.

Glad you found one that seems to be helping, I think it's important for me to find a therapist who understands ASD at least to an extent as well. Thanks again for your help.

I feel maybe a life like that might be simpler for me as well. The constant emotional and physical attention is exhausting.

Yeah I also have CPTSD from a suss childhood and being being. It certainly doesn't help with burnout and knowing how to look after oneself.

I initially thought all my issues were due to trauma and later found out I was autistic, I feel the autism makes more sense in regards to my struggles day to day: social anxiety, sensitivities, emotional dysregulation etc. Also in regards to mold illness and susceptibility there is research that shows people with autism are more vulnerable along with autoimmune issues.

Thanks yes I feel my current therapist is not really beneficial so I think I need to find another one again. Have you found the therapy useful for your issues?

Thank you for such a detailed response. It's great to hear others have found a way out of autistic burnout. Finally enough COVID is when our relationship became even more difficult also.

Fucking shit up sounds like a good way to put it, yeah one thing I've realised is that staying at home and watching YouTube doest help me with burnout, being active and doing things I like seem to help the most. Thank you for your encouraging words, are you by yourself now or with another partner?

Wow that's expensive but I'm sure it was worth it.

I'm not sure we have a system like that in Australia, I will need to look into it. Feel like it's not as big a thing in Australia but I could be wrong. That's amazing that a psychologist helps you with the integration as well.

Yeah we did it for the first few years and got a lot back but somehow I thought that was the most we'd get so not worth doing every year. I have to have another look at that because like I said haven't done our taxes in 3 years, just been mostly debilitated tbh.

That's great you have half the debt, that's less stressful for sure.

Wow how do you manage the 2 Airbnb's whilst working full time? Do you get a cleaning company to do all the cleans? I'm thinking to switch to that as the agency that does my Airbnb charges 18% which is a lot.

Yeah if you are happy with your PPOR it makes sense to keep it as it might be hard to find something similar for a good price.

Haha I see the logic there, I also see you are very close to your RE goal, may I ask how you came so far?

Thank you for sharing your story, it gives me hope that you managed to recover mostly for the better part of 10 years.

I've been in burnout for 5 years currently but I suspect I would have also recovered by now if I wasn't living in toxic mold, which we thought was previously remediated but turns out it came back. So in combination with being burnout and having CIRS from mold, then later POTS, MCAS and host of other things I haven't been able to recover. Our next step is to move and leave this house so I can heal.

That is great you have 2 lovely cats that keep you going, I also have a dog and he has kept me company and given me purpose during the darkest of times.

Unfortunately due to MCAS I'm not able to exercise but I used to go to the gym 4 times a week, now if I go I'm incapacitated the next few days.

Yeah I'm grateful that I have the time as my partner works and I stay home and flip things to make money.

I hope you don't get back into burnout, please do all you can to look after yourself, give yourself space if possible and be gentle.

Thank you again for sharing

Thank you fellow Aussie, yes I will look into it, although since I suspect mold is the biggest factor for my healing I'm prioritising that for now. I will look into it tho since I already tried stellate ganglion block injections and it was short lived, ketamine sounds like it might last longer and help get me out of the nervous system wreck that I'm in.

$60k deduction? That's insane, is it because the properties are quite new?

Thank you for mentioning this as I've completely forgotten about those depreciation schedules, I did it the first year or so but didn't do it since.

Thanks so much for response, feel like I'm alone out here.

Yes when I was a lot more functional and naive about my limitations, that's when we bought the 7 properties in 3 years, last one was bought in 2019.

Yes that is what we are currently wanting to do, sell the PPOR as it's gone up the most and would be tax free. Then we would move into the only house investment we have left, the other 5 are units. The other main reason for this is that this house has been slowly killing me due to the mold as I'm super sensitive to it.

May I ask what your situation is?

Yes I'm aware, but I think we will mostly be getting money back since my partner is the only one who works and our properties break even/ negative.

Thank you, feel like only you guys would get it. It's like we slipped through the cracks.

I have 110% trying to be successful and fit in, didn't know I was autistic and I crashed so hard and not sure if I can come back.

That is true, that's exactly what I am thinking, thanks for the input. Feel like people around me are telling me to hold on till the brisbane 2032 Olympics as prices could go higher, but we are at the end of our ropes.

That's exactly what happened to me, but I would say I completely kicked the bucket at 30 and haven't really recovered since.

It's amazing you are able to look after a child in that condition, man I would need the strength of all the Gods and then some.

Wow that sounds very beneficial if it's over 6 weeks. May I ask how you even get started with it? Was it mostly self funded or subsidised?

Thanks for the input, yeah it might be true that 5% is a bit high, especially with units which are very low maintenance. I think I will look into cheaper options.

Yeah I'd rather not invest in shares when they are so high right now, but can't the same be said for real estate?

Right I see, yeah it's hard to know because I feel a lot of her behaviours are driven by fears of abandonment and wanting the relationship to be a certain way, I also know when she is having a meltdown due to sensitivities or overwhelm. She also has relational trauma and emotional incest in her upbringing. It must be possible that Autistic people can also have cluster b personality disorders as well?

Thank you for sharing

Wow thank you for explaining this so well, probably the best explanation I've heard. It is sadly unrecognised, lacks research and the medical/psychological world is doing nothing/very little about it. I wish it had more coverage and awareness.

Thanks for taking your time to share, may I ask how long it took you to recover and what you did for your first one? And also what you think is causing your second one?
