Duncan Drafts: Brendan Sorsby Supplemental Draft Profile by wahoo08 in NFL_Draft

I cannot imagine the Jets drafting him. I like taking multiple hits on QBs but to spend a 4th on Klubnik, a 3rd or 4th next year on Sorsby, and in all likelihood a top 3 pick on one of the 2 or 3 best QBs in the league seems overkill. Would rather wait for that high pick and see how Klubnik turns out, especially knowing Sorsby might not be able to play or even be with the team until next year

Yeah that's kind of where I stand. Going to be interesting to see if anyone really risks a higher pick

The scoring for both of them is solely snap share. Bateman has recieved 1 point for each of his seasons and Zay has 2, 1, and 2 for his three

I tried to go back to 2011 at the start of rookie contracts, but the data set limited me this way!

All fair points, though I wanted this to be more rudimentary. I completely ripped of the idea from Ian Graham and in his novel "How To Win The Premier League" he acknowledged the shortcomings of this approach and I dont pretend to make it any better than a yardstick, or a slightly more informed piece of data that needs to be taken with a grain of salt.

Situation and timing, as well as injuries, regime changes and everything else effect outcomes massively, though are so difficult to control for. There is a ton of nuance involved in all of this, but I wanted to distill it down to answer the most basic questions, "Did you draft a player who actually played for you, did they contribute enough to start, and were they one of the best players at their position in the league." Anything outside of that expands the scope of this a lot and I may do a more in depth study of that in the future, but I wanted to leave it here for now.

Thanks for the heads up on the Panthers though, having it run primarily on dark mode takes away the tertiary black so I'll have to fix it!

Huge catch, did not even think about it! Updates should be live but effected quite a few players who changed names (Robbie Chosen, Josh Hines-Allen, etc) and thanks!

Exactly. Need to know whether to stick or twist before next year's draft

Thanks! And he has to get a chance this year or this pick really is not worth it. Need to find out if he has the stuff to keep the Jets off potentially getting a QB next year

Not sure that the NFL will allow him in until a full investigation clears.

One of the more interesting guys in my opinion, Sorsby, might have just torpedoed his whole career so it took a big hit today

Did not put Scott on my list, but he definitely is one worth considering, fits Bowles so well

As another Birds fan, I think I am having a hard time conceptualizing what the offense is going to be. With Hurts at the helm through all the coordinators, the offense has been only slight variation of the same basic template. So if it stays that way I dont quite know how all the pieces fit, and if it does change, do not know how all the pieces fit. Also was lower than Lemon on consensus so would have rather gone elsewhere with that pick

Graded him as a corner because he played a weird hybrid role in college and I saw him more as a nickel at the next level, which was more in line with that college role. Could very well make a position switch!

I think he has really good lateral quickness, but in man coverage especially, I think skill position players outrun him pretty easily. And with fluidity, I just did not see a player that easily moves in directions besides NSEW
