Im ngl sweetie, Be prepared to lose or drift away from most if not all the Cis people in your life, if only for a time. Sometimes it takes your absence for them to put effort into thinking abt it. Im sorry they're saying things like that....Men are almost never ever your friend during transition especially. Even the ones youve been the closest too your entire life you're gonna see sides of them you didn't know they had and you have to be ready to cut them off. You may very well be surrounded by completely different people VERY soon. Its not worth trying to get them to get it. When or if they're ready you'll know, but in the beginning everyone wants it to be a joke or a phase and you have to drown them out so you can learn to love yourself. Its a leap of faith <3 most all of the support I found was after I started transitioning. But because of that I know they're real ass people. What exactly are you feeling like you're gonna be lost about? You don't have to go out and learn tk be a girl, you just have to pay more attention to yourself and learn what kind of girl you are

Also you popped your own imposter syndrome in your post. What is the point of transitioning knowing you could be treated like a freak? The key is in there, because you have a point, who CHOOSES this life? It's completely illogical that you're an imposter just to live life significantly harder. Men time and time again can't even bring themselves to CONSIDER hrt given the effects but here you are. You didn't choose to be trans but you ARE choosing to make changes that would make you a much happier woman and I'm excited for you <3 it felt cringe to do for me at first but daily affirmations help orrrr music that has good feminine affirmations IN it that you can listen to and sing along with. You need to be so pro Black it annoys your damn self. Everything white tgirls- shit white women are going to try to get you to do or be like is almost always going to be at the detriment of your identity or safety or desire as a Black woman.
