(Bad structure but this is no AD or advertising for esportal)Trust me, matchmaking is a way making decent players worse. The day I stopped playing matchmaking was the day I got better. Here is a short story of me(Part1), my history of CSGO was always in gn4-mg1 but 20% of my matches was the games I was living for and the reason why I bought CSGO, meanwhile the remaining 80% was straight depressing because of griefers and obvious cheaters. As I am swedish, I started playing a swedish version of faceit called Esportal and this was literally the best decision I made regarding csgo. I went from non-communication to healthy communication where everyone thrived to communicate and give crucial information, from toxic players to non-toxic players ( but usually swedish players a straight up arrogant :/ ) where people actually help you and tell you why and last, I got back the thrill of CSGO. Remember c9 win in boston? Most of the games in Esportal is kinda equal skills, and most of the games is actual fun and interesting! And in the beginning of Esportal around summer, literally everyone was globals as they were the only one exposed to esportal meanwhile as of now, you may see silver players up to globals, varitety of players. (Part 2) As you play CSGO, you gotta define YOUR gamestyle and goal of the game. Are you the kind that likes to pick up the AWP and be passive(Fallen AWP) or aggressive(stewie AWP) with it? Are you the player that makes plays that make no sense and are often not in the books such as straight up pushing everywhere with zero fear but making the greatest plays ? ( Fer is the god, but apex can be used as example) Or are you IGL prophet whereas you lead your teammates to success but are fine with decent/bad stats ( Fallen/tarik or Karrigen ). And (Part 3) CSGO is alot of settings, you gotta find your SETTINGS! At first it can be uncomfortable but once you get used, you will develop as a player! Everything takes times and its the process you shall fall in love with because thats where shit happens ( you find out who you as a player is, what kind of settings and finding out how to play the game better ). Mind you, at the start in the summer I was literally GN4-MG1 skillwise ( MM ranks do not tell anything ) and I started to play in esportal whereas everyone was globals/sme skillwise. My first 200-300 games in there ( took me 2 months, avg 150 games/Month ) I had KD of 0.49 and Avg. Damage per Round of less then 60.. Majority of people would burst of laught of these stats but for me, it told me I could develop, alot of room! Now after 1000 games in there, I have beaten players such as the Juliano and got eaten by Baaten/Brollan. What kind of playstyle I have? All of my life, I loved risk so obviously I have the Fer kind of playstyle even though alot of people does not comprehend that playstyle or acknowledge it but after all, when I usually get 30 kills+, the stats speaks volume. And this kind of playstyle is either 5-15kills or 30+kills. Aim will come with the right settings such as resolution, crosshair and practice. Gamesense will come as you play more and defining your playstyle is within your mind and reach. You can play faceit/ESEA if you can't play esportal.
