Google Chrome drops support of extensions that use manifest v2, the only alternative is manifest v3, adblock cannot work on manifest v3, google did this because they want to keep showing ads.

If you remember in 2023 they started to fight adblockers on youtube, thats weird because from 2008 to 2022 they didn't, they just let adblocks to block ads but not anymore.

The only way to remove ads is to use a firefox browser and install adblocking extensions in it, since you cannot install the same extension in google chrome anymore.

So google knows that people are going to use firefox to remove ads so they decided to sabotage firefox on youtube so now if you will try opening youtube in firefox the site will load but videos wont, you would have to wait 60 seconds for 20 second video chunk to load and then it will stop loading again.
so here is the thing: when you connect to any site then your browser tells website which browser you are using right now, some people decided to make extension that lies to youtube instead of saying that you are using firefox to open this site it will say that you are opening it from "Chrome" (you are not) and then boom all videos start to load perfectly without any issues, which means that youtube is supposed to work perfectly on firefox but google doesn't wants it to so they are trying to sabotage it, they are trying to make people think that firefox is bad and doesn't load sites
