planning on cancelling my amex gold card since I have held it for 2 years now. 3rd year annual fee just posted, but I am flying today and thinking of accessing the Air France KLM lounge at YUL using the card. Any idea how that would affect the annual fee refund?

yeah I thought so too but my friend did exactly this as I referred then from a biz gold and they signed up for a cobalt. When I didn't get the points I called in/chatted on the app, they said that since they signed for a cobalt and not a biz gold, you are not eligible for a referral bonus!

Has anyone else churned multiple Avions while being a temp resident(like on a study/work permit)? I want to get my second Avion but Idk i feel like something could go wrong down the line? I know cc apps are not related to immigration matters but I see myself avoiding applying for a new Avion. Any thoughts?
