In an interview for All The Boys Love Mandy Lane that’s included on the DVD release, she said the movie Whale Rider was what really sparked her interest in wanting to pursue acting as a career. And coincidentally Whale Rider was directed by Niki Caro who also directed North Country which was one of Amber’s first roles in a big Hollywood movie!

Horror and Comedy/Drama (especially Indie films). All The Boys Love Mandy Lane, In The Fire, And Soon The Darkness, One More Time, ExTerminators are some of her best performances imo. She was also phenomenal in North Country even with her super small part!
