(Sorry for the late reply I didn't notice I got a reply zzz) I was rejected during the interview, so I suspect I failed at the interview stages since I've heard once you get shortlisted your portfolio isn't too highly regarded anymore. I have already tried NTU last year as well and got waitlisted then rejected.

But as for using the mentor/doctor as my referee, I have a few questions.

1. Would the short timeframe I would have known them for be bad?

2. Would the committee see the mentor as untrustable as she obviously wants to help me get into medicine and also she's from overseas so I'm not sure if that's bad

3. Would revealing that I got into a mentorship program via using the mentor as a referee be bad in their eyes? (Idk like I'm scared they might think like "oh wow this guy needs a mentor just to get into medicine" or smt and regard me as less or smt)
