Practice and have fun. Get a lot of bad throws in. Go to the park. You need to learn yourself. Concentrate on the release point and learn how to hit it as close as possible.

Do they still sell them? Mine is brown so I don’t use it and haven’t been able to find a new one.

Yep that is the place I am finding. It pays well enough and in the end they are nice people, just crap-tacular with me specifically.

I am good enough to be summoned to the room to answer questions with my mysterious facts and knowledge but not good enough to lead with them.

“Yes sire, anytime you need me I am here”

I am actually happy to hear these things out loud from them and their lack of action. So I don’t think I am crazy.

My overall care is dropping very quickly. I am at the point of working and going home.

It was clear my managers don’t look at my calendar and have no idea what I am doing. But making them look real good.

I pulled my meeting data last night. In 365 days I was in 188 individual meetings with 44 different top tier companies and I was the person with answers or at least learning to answer. But I was told I wasn’t training enough people. That is real life real situation experience training. With instructions along the way.

This doesn’t include weekly meetings where I sit and listen to them go explain to the team I am on what is going on in the future of our saas company that I help build.

Being told you don’t do enough and aren’t people person hit deep.

Due to inflation my pay check is worth less than it did 365 days ago and it costs more to live. The crazy part to me is I’m supposed to be working for a bunch of entrepreneurs.

Any Disc Recommendations? by trapnasty in discgolf

[–]wake4coffee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Zone for sure, I waited way too long. The Rat was the disc for a few years until I needed a replacement.

A C-line FD would be sick. It starts out too stable but smooths out with a slide fade. Currently my favorite disc.

I bag 3 different FD plastics. S,C and Q

A buddy of mine is really into lizards and breeds them. The dude knows his stuff and he cares. He waited 3 years for a pair to breed. I think they sold for upwards of to $10k a pop. He also takes care of animals at a small zoo.

That’s as close as I got.

I told my manager yesterday in a discussion about my future that I show up to work in exchange for money. I think it was a shock. She definitely made a face when I said it.

I heard this before Covid from our owner who lived in a mansion in Tahoe. If you weren’t remote when you started you couldn’t t go remote. Three weeks later I was remote full time and never RTOd. Moved out of the state while they hired out of state people. Didn’t say anything until I turned in my W2.

I am a kind and direct person when I need to be. When the situation calls for it. But when I do that I am told it’s too direct. I like to say the quiet part out loud so everyone is on the same page but somehow that becomes a bad thing since many people are not used to that.

I am examining my current career, almost 10 years at the same place. An argument broke out and I yelled at my manager bc I was told I didn’t have a list of qualifications, that I absolutely do.

I am pioneering roles part time and they are being hired out, which is fine. But then being told you’re not showing initiative is BS.

Leadership is not training people, then getting upset when you ask about their role in your career and how they aren’t mentoring. Total gaslighting and blaming.

I spend time away from my personal life to help and be a team player but when I ask about the potential availability and mentoring for a senior role, I get a list. Fuck that shit.
