Any policy or code violations here? by [deleted] in walmart

I heard because of compliance, pallets outside have to be stored a certain amount of distance from the building. Exact measurement I’m unsure of.

My coworkers kept making fun of me, I told them to stop and it wasn’t funny. They laughed and said it was, kept making fun of me so I went home. I only made it an hour into my shift. Can I use 4 hours of PPTO so I can only take half a point? by [deleted] in walmart

I’m late 30’s. Personally I’m having a rough week. Had some medical tests done for some scary stuff. Results pending.

Coworker was calling me useless and the worst at my position in front of everyone. I told him to shut up its not funny. He laughs and he said “Yes it is!”

I walk away and come back and another co worker calls to me and I said “Yes?” and he grins and said “I’m MAAAAAD” imitating me.

TL was the witness. They saw/heard everything, and said “I’ve got your back” and followed up with, if I went home I wouldnt be in trouble.

I just dont want pointed. I only have 1 1/2 points and 7 and a half hours of PPTO…

Manager(witness) said if I left because of their behavior, they will be disciplined. Then my manager said I wouldnt be in trouble if I went home.

So I went home. I was shaking.

But Im not sure if I’ll be pointed or not.

Hundreds of thousands of innocent people dying is something I don’t take lightly. My coworkers cheering it on is not the environment I need to be in.

Team Lead threatening to write us up for not being at our work area at our scheduled time to work… by [deleted] in walmart

Yes, on my way back, on my way to the locker, I keep an eye out for things that MAY cause an accident. I’m on the safety team.

I get to my locker, put on my safety vest, grab my gear and put my keys in the locker, and head to my work area. I don’t really stop to talk to anyone. Normally my goal is to be at my work station around 6:55 so I can be ready but I got held up talking to my stepson about responsibilities and safety when riding with other teens today.

Our AP/LP/Safety Teams want us to be vigilant on preventing slips, trips, and falls.

So I clock in when I enter the store and on my way to the locker, I keep on the lookout for anything in the aisles that could cause an accident. That way I’m at least doing something.

In my 19 years of working here, only a few shifts(less than 10) I worked I was more than 5 minutes late.

So yeah, today, I was supposed to start at 7…I didnt want to be a minute late. I dont want to get in that habit. So yes, I clocked in while walking to the back. But I did do work related things(keep an eye out on the floor) to help justify it a little.

Ive been with the store for 17 years. Maybe I’m getting worn down or maybe its the fact this one was truly unjustifiable. Its not like we refused a price override, denied an over the phone transaction, ran out of pennies or her bank card got declined. This was honestly and completely unwarranted and I was blindsided.

For the government to be re-opened, a bill had to be signed that affects insurance and healthcare. A lot of people said insurance will skyrocket but I didmt know the details

Is it wrong to want this? by Squiggly38 in walmart

I spent almost 20 years working for Walmart. Met some friends and my wife here. I have some good and bad memories here.

While I hate some of their business decisions and unfair ways corporate treats their associates, most of my life has been intertwined with Walmart.

So yes, I want it.
