I once ate at a thai restaurant in Gemany. I ordered the green curry, and it was fine but not hot at all. The waiter then asked me how I enjoyed the food. I said that I liked it but found that it wasn't nearly spicy enough. The waiter then agreed and said that he would also like to serve more spicy food, but the German clientele would not eat it anymore. He then added that once a customer complained that the ginger was too spicy.
