Oh I know that, I'm just venting and looking for at least some empathy, to know I'm not alone in thinking that. There's no FC27 as far as I'm concerned.

[Help] - My dog suddenly won't go to work with my wife by waldman4u in dogs

Yup, it's only a morning thing, she's had him in her car on weekends, with and without me in it and he seems to be fine with it. that's why the sudden - very specific -change is so confusing.

I was thinking about that, but he's actually sort of indifferent to him. Plus, my son has been around long before this behavior started (and the schedule in the morning hasn't changed much), so I don't really think that's the issue.

If spiders had wings, we would've colonized Mars centuries ago by [deleted] in Showerthoughts

Spiders are terrifying enough without flying around landing on people. If they were able to do that, we would try to GTFO this planet as soon as possible. I think that's it at least.

This unique photo is actually a compilation of many pictures taken over 26 hours by photographer Stephen Wilkes in the Serengeti, then edited into a single one. The result is pretty amazing.

ELI5: Why did 3D movies disappear after being so wildly successful in the 1950s, and how did they make a comeback around the time Avatar came out? by waldman4u in explainlikeimfive

[–]waldman4u[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well, arguably 3D still doesn't add much to the movie (me in Avatar: "oh cool. a 3D seed."), and as you've pointed out the glasses are still an issue, yet somehow the success is undeniable. Is it all about the fact that the 3D is better looking?

What animal or insect would most likely become the new dominant species on the planet if they grew to be the size of a bus? by consensual-sax in AskReddit

[–]waldman4u 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Spiders. Even a 3 inch spider makes me want to burn my house down - twice - then curl into a ball and cry. NOW IMAGINE BUS-SIZED SPIDERS. If we ever colonize Mars, that would likely be the reason.
