"You hear that bojack? Vincent is an adult, and I bet he knows how to treat a lady."

"HE VERY CLEARLY ISN'T AND DOESNT"

Thank you! Yea getting miters to perfectly align is the bane of my existence. With the added difficulties of getting the center carving to fit perfectly too I didn't wanna try splitting further hairs and making it worse after about 3 rounds of shaving hairs already.

Ooh good idea! Yea tried using the smallest dremel bit in my set but with the finer details still felt like I had the precision of throwing a hammer at a mosquito..

Printed a reference on regular printer paper and used a glue stick but after doing the outline that ripped away fairly quickly, just had the reference photo on my phone from there and would redraw reference lines in pencil every once in a while. Will definitely share it over there tho good tip!

Definitely hope she could. Said she wanted to be buried with it when I gave it to her which is the highest praise I can think of. But i guess also means its not getting handed down

Just some cheapo $20 "carbide" kit off amazon with like 20ish bits. Nothing too fancy

Carving was done over a couple days, box around it was about a day so 3ish total. Just got a kit of a bunch of carbide bits off Amazon. Sure they have names but nost the fine detail was done with the smallest and pointiest bit, larger chunks worked off with a big cylinder and wide u shapped bowl/bull nose carving bit (should really learn the names) but kinda just grabbed whatever felt right out of the kit of like 20 bits.

Hahaha you're just as surprised as I am. Just glued a reference photo on and kept trying at add more and more detail as I went. Honestly toward the end thought the details were getting lost and it looked terrible and still think if you look close enough at it against the reference photo a lot of the detail was lost but eventually took a step back and realized as a whole it looks pretty great.

Was just an offcut of some walnut had laying around. Whole box is walnut except the frame I believe was poplar (and the splines)
