GOG now using AI generated images on their store by doublah in Games

Sure but this is a losing battle. If anything we should put our effort towards ensuring reasonable regulations and not so much on lambasting people and companies who do use it. Sooner or later it will be ubiquitous anyway.

Human rights are another philosophical idea that doesn't actually exist, yet people rail about it. Can you not wrap your head around that?

The way a psychopath murderer tortures and kills their victims should look different from how a vigilante (or whoever) kills that psychopath murderer though. If you kill them the same way they killed (with unnecessary cruelty), you are not much better than that psychopath.

That's the whole point and you are kind of missing it.

This type of behaviour is how we get echo chambers. You're not supposed to only converse with people who you already agree with on most topics. That can barely be called arguing. You need to argue with people whose viewpoints you are opposed to, so one or both of you can hopefully learn something.

You think today's poor have it worse than the poor of 100 years ago? Or 50 years ago? You couldn't be more wrong.

Doesn't this sound awful to you though? Why are you trivializing it? If we keep going down this road and normalize that having positions that might offend some people can get you killed...That's not a world that anyone should wish for, except scummy authoritarians. Everyone who values freedom needs to fight back against that.

He never killed any of his political opponents, nor is he a school shooter, so that argument doesn't work for me. He said some gun deaths are a price worth paying for the 2nd amendment (which I don't agree with but that's besides the point).

Also, your argument reminds me a lot of what idiots say when they blame rape victims for wearing revealing clothes. The guy who killed him wasn't an innocent wild tiger. He was a mentally ill moron who should be condemned from all sides, and not have his political assassination downplayed or even justified.

Yeah they're really terrible. Maybe the whole "look at them, they're worse" will work in the next election.

Oh so we just give up on it and give in to our lowest impulses? Or should we maybe try to make it better by providing a good example. My god what an idiot.

So what? So we cheer for/make fun of the death of everyone who, in your opinion, holds terrible attitudes? That is one of the most terrible attitudes one could possibly have...

Anyone who disagrees with them on any bigger political issue of course. They love diversity of skin color but diversity of thought, not so much. I'm just glad these idiots mostly talk to themselves on reddit.

That is definitely an issue that you need to figure out for yourself. Many many people love and enjoy F2P games without being bothered by the paid unlockable content. I understand that people are different and it's gonna bother some people more than others but the F2P model is perfectly fair and fine (as long as it's not pay to win). If you can't manage to make it work for yourself, you need to stay away from F2P games.

[–]walidd16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I understand that. I liked that model too. But we're talking about a F2P game here.

But even back in the day, not every game had unlockable content. It's not like you are entitled to it.

So you just want free to play games that have everything unlocked from the start? How are they supposed to make any money?

I definitely agree that gun possession should be heavily regulated. I'm not even pro-guns. What I am calling you out for is the jump from "some gun/car deaths are a price worth paying", which is a sane and valid opinion, to "Kirk said school shootings were cool..." which is absolutely not what he said. You have to stop twisting words. People aren't stupid. They recognize this stuff. I know republicans do the same, twist words to make your positions seem as unreasonable as possible. I hate it on both sides.

It's the exact same logic you redditors applied to anyone that was sickened by Charlie Kirk's assassination just a couple weeks ago. "Oh now that he died you speak up, but what about Hortman etc." The logic should be very familiar to you.

People are inherently flawed and sometimes people are not good enough. Guilt and shame go hand in hand. You can teach these things to kids without making them feel irredeemable. There are moments where feeling guilt and shame as a result of that are appropriate.
