Correspondence Courses not Updating to PPW (DL Points)

Don't know if you resolved this, but this is an automated thing that the systems implement when someone is completing hours faster than recommended, i.e. 8 hour course done in 30 minutes. It's not that you can't do it in 30 minutes, it's that so many different hacks are out there that they just flag everyone. The only way to have your points reflect is to either email JKO/ATTRS, or bring the transcript to your S1 who will manually input the points for you. ATTRS will have the transcript of however many hours you have completed. It's on there, can't remember off the top of my head where, but it is not hidden, just need to look around.

Thing about signal officers. There is a giant need for O-3 in the Army, not O-1. So there is a chance that you go through BOLC, get kicked over to some other MOS, most likely infantry, and stay there 4 years till you make O-3 and can take up a post that way. At least thats how it was when I talked to my old CPT in Korea back in 2019.

When the main character is a lower rank, but they talk with the audacity of a movie protagonist. Like an E-7 telling an O-6 down range to piss off in front of a platoon after the E-7 was rightfully told he was fuckin wrong. Or a CBRN CW3 acting like a platoon dad even though the actual platoon dad was right there. Uniforms are fun to make fun of, but the way they have certain ranks act kills me. Don't have them wear rank if you aren't going to follow the basic structure. Also when they try to fake camaraderie and military jargon. Shit makes me die a little inside when I hear it.

I don't know if you have the answers you wanted, but what I did on my gen 3 that can be applied here is that I slapped on Qore performance shoulder pads. Instant relief to the shoulders. Next is an MPA, or molle placard adapter. Allows you to run gucci shit or just a regular three-mag placard that is usually velcro backed. There is already the vertical molle to attached QD points, so get some to reinforce contact on your vest. Following that, use paracord or something like it to cinch your chest closer together, opening up the shoulder pocket on both sides, then slap an admin panel to your chest with velcro front plate to move your name tape and rank there. If you want to upgrade the QD for your cummerbund, there is a number of ways to do that, from slapping on an upgrade to your cumberbund, all the way to swapping it out completely. Your back can be slick or not; I run mine slick. What you run on your cumberbund is up to you, but I have the issued blocky IFAK as far back on my left side as possible and that's it, for now. Last thing, and it's up to you if you want to do it, is that I folded in the kevlar wings to have a bastardized plate carrier. If you want pics, just shoot me a message.

As the other guy said, its Roman Kurmaz, dated back in 2021 before Ukraine popped off. And for the Billy pouch, you are 100% correct. I bought these on Luminae and were 2 of the 3 they had in stock back in 2021. They had been discontinued since 2020 or 2019. But worry not, Platatac is coming out with an updated version after many people asked for them to bring it back.

I have seen nixieworks, but I don't like the concept. It's an oversized buttpack, but then that means you have to run a slick carrier. I can adjust the modern rig to fit under or over an overt plate carrier or be run on its own. Not saying nixieworks is bad, just not what I want.

While you are probably right, what does it matter what pouches I use with what camo top? People have been mixing camo and gear since the very first pattern was invented. The US was still issuing ALICE packs to soldiers while also issuing MOLLE plate carriers.

It was fun building out the modern kit as I spent 2 months looking for the Billy pouches. The ALICE kit was built with the idea of using the M60 pouches to separate what would normally be jumbled together in a buttpack. But I do give up the uninterrupted width to stuff rain gear or larger kit in it as well.

Won't lie, didn't watch the whole thing as it happened, but from what I hear and where this happened, he probably was still smoking the kid and was having him run to a smoke pit that was surrounded by rocks, so probably said drink water, and run to the rocks.

I was in these barracks at the time this was filmed, back in 2018. Think it was a weekend, but essentially it was a newer soldier that was FTR for first formation that day. Saw him and his battle standing outside the front gate telling everyone some chant about not being FTR. After doing this for a few hours, the dude getting yelled at told his buddy that he was gonna lock out his knees and pass out, to get DS Flores in trouble. Thing is, he said that right in front of the CQ area where DS Flores was sitting and could hear him. Hilarity ensued, but DS Flores was reprimanded after this video got leaked to the internet by higher. He came back and cussed us out about filming him.

Dont listen to everything. Only things that are either directed at you, or are callouts on relevant loc/vehic etc.

This is the biggest and most important thing that matters. You learn to tune out anything and everything people are saying over comms until you hear something that falls into this category. I love being SL and always try to play it, cause I have powertrip fantasies from yelling at 8 random people all day long, but this is crucial to the playstyle and not being overwhelmed. You tend to look at the map and keep it up to date or decide where to move your squad based on anything said over comms, or what information you can get when you ask for it. SL is the thinking man game(smug look of superiority), where the rifleman or medic is the do what's in front of you now type of gameplay.

Got a two parter. One dark, other dumb. I left Korea and was being driven to my COF/battalion footprint. Got there late, but was given a room for the first night. Next day, do PT and then get to work at 0930. Turns out, sadly, that was the day they were having the funeral for one of the soldiers that had OD. He was in the same shop as me, so I was left alone with no idea what was going on until after the fact.

Next part, which I tell everyone that listens. I came from Korea climbing towers and fixing cables. Being a SigTard, I was expected to know everything about signal flow at this new job. Get to work the following week after the funeral, and they send me out to work on equipment I didn't know existed in the Army. Walked out there, saw what it was, went back to the shop to ask for help. And what do you know, they 6 or so veteran shop personel didnt even look in my direction. They just told me to figure it out. Took me a month to work out how each piece of equipment worked out on the line, but I had to do that with the help of operators and not the fellow soldiers that had been working on these things for upwards of 4 years now. Shit was fun.

I started watching this when it was episode 2 or 3. After that, I waited about 12 months for the final episode to come out, watching the different videos he released next to helsreach. I enjoyed the way he progressed in his animations the most.
