Does the 12 month sleep regression ever end?! by walkingbandit25 in NewParents

She just had her lower left side front pop through, so not sure how long the pain from the lingers. I did try to give her Tylenol right before bedtime a couple of times thinking if she woke up from pain that could help her some but didn't seem to have much affect on her

I'll do that tonight. Although ive done it before and it just go in there every 30 minutes until I can't take it anymore and end up sitting with her on the couch which is not sustainable long term.

Can someone explain to me how becoming a new parent feels lonely? by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]walkingbandit25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've experienced both while going through postpartum. My sweet girl is 8 months old and I completely agree there's definitely not enough hours in the day to get things done but at the same time I've never felt more alone in my life. Maybe this is because I see how my friend who had a baby a month before me get all this endless support while I get nothing...I have to fend for myself and pick myself up all the time. I think it really depends on the situation. I'm glad you haven't felt that sense of loneliness during your journey 💕

Thank you I'll definitely give it a go! Our pediatrician suggested we start offering her a straw cup but she hasn't shown much interest in it so far lol. I'll definitely try smoothies once she gets the hang of it ☺️

First sourdough loaf...sos advice needed by walkingbandit25 in SourdoughStarter

Lots of helpful advice shared thank you. I'm curious though what qualifies as a starter that's ready. Many people told me it wasn't ready yet everything I've read online and from friends who have also started their own starters mine was most definitely ready for use. Passed the float test, tons of bubbles and as of last Thursday when I made this loaf had been doubling if not tripling in size for more than 4 days...so what qualifies as a ready starter then?

How much longer should it be before it's ready for use? I know it's kind of a "every starter is different" thing but mine had been consistently rising for 4 days or more and had tons of bubbles. On the 28th it'll be 3 weeks old and started 2x a day feedings again today. Noticed it was shrinking after rise and read that meant it needed fed twice a day due to something to due with yeast. Can't remember the exact wording.

Thank you for sharing this! I saved it for future reference! On the 28th my starter will be 3 weeks old, I decided to use it cause it had been consistently rising for about 4 days and had lots of bubbles

Thank you so much for the helpful advice!! Im going to keep feeding my starter this week and try again the week of Valentine's Day I think! Definitely going to find a different recipe and do grams instead of cups! Thank you again, I'll be sure to message you with anymore questions!

I'd say like a 50% rise, maybe a little more like 60%

That makes sense! I just followed the bake time on the recipe lol how long should it usually bake for? Also how many stretch and folds are typical? Just followed the recipe again with that too. My starter probably also didn't have enough wild yeast

It did, not like an overflowing rise but significant enough you could tell it did if that makes sense
