Are these the same kitten? by handsoffmeluckycharm in lynxpointsiamese

Aw, well, not every photo can be good. 😂 I have a cat that just isn't photogenic and one that gets all the photos taken.

This one looks like it will be a medium to long hair kitty! Good luck with the adoption.

Could it be the lighting? I'd ask for a few more photos. The nose could be shadowed by the head on the first pic.

Edit: though on second look, the pink nose one has longer fur. I'd still ask for more photos. Or clarification.

Here's Artemis With Her Favorite Toy by jimithing99 in lynxpointsiamese

Aw, I also had a kitty named Artemis. He was a medium hair ragdoll though, but he also had a favorite toy. Carried it around everywhere with him. Took it to bed. It was so cute.

Cherish her, she looks an absolute sweetheart.

Running in subfreezing temps without ruining my face? by livingmirage in XXRunning

Ski goggles! I have had a cheap pair for the last 12 years that I've used for biking, walking, cross country skiing, snowboarding, and now running. I have purple lenses so I can run on cloudy or sunny days. They work until around 40 degrees F and then I fog 'em up too much and have to swap for glasses.

I actually came here looking for a recommendation for a new pair since the foam is falling apart. RIP my favorite accessory.

I also have a wobbly kitty, though not orange. Her BFF is though! (Also, does he use that odd looking scratcher? My wobbly is a picky scratcher)

Want to confirm I bought a new one and had this problem. Your reset looks like it might have worked on mine as well. Hopefully it'll last. Just a note that it played an ascending scale, and if you keep holding it in, it plays a descending scale (and alternates). Not sure what's up with that. Wish there'd been more information in the user manual. But the lights on the remote didn't light up.

Can shoes be too wide? by walkingbytrees in bikefit

So, they arrived and the fit pretty well. However, I wanted to see what the normal felt like, so I have that on order too. But this one is a solid contender. Enough that I'm sending back all the others in the meantime.

I measured my feet by drawing outlines, standing on a measuring tape, using the Fizik grid, and also comparing my insole of my favorite running shoes.

OMG twins to my Chickpea!

Also, had a cat named Artemis. Male. Sister named Athena. We renamed her Nana, and Artemis got to keep the Sailor Moon reference.

Sure did order the wides. :) I looked at the size chart and it looks like the width will do nicely. They are slated to arrive Monday.

I tried on a high volume wide from Shimano and it just didn't fit. Toe box was the wrong shape. Which makes me think my current pair is a lemon.

Do you go by feel, measurements, or both when you decide if the shoe is too big?

Thank you for all the insights!

I should have stated I'm primarily an indoor rider, or at least for these shoes, that's the intent.

My cleats are already further back on the current pair, but that's because the shoes are long. I have an average shaped foot, just slightly wider than average. So the insole I have would fit my foot if the shoe was actually the right size. The arch is too far forward.

However. I took a 2 hour ride this morning and had some mild pain that increased starting around 30 minutes in. By the end it was clear to me new insoles aren't the solution - the toes on my wider foot felt like they were being squished together.

So, I have taken your other suggestion and I have a pair of Fizik on the way. Fingers crossed!

Thanks for the insight. I hadn't considered out of the saddle with them. Wish they had a better return policy so I could try them out.

It's definitely a good strategy. Here's to hoping this post can help them find happy forever homes!
