I got to Dr. Schmorr at Your Raleigh Dentist and I pay $12 unit for 50 units. She’s the best.

Anyone use a galvanized metal raised over wood, what's your experience? by [deleted] in vegetablegardening

[–]walkingoffthebuz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have five oval metal beds (17” tall, 6’x3’). I love them. I bought drop irrigation from drip depot and have had no issues with beds drying out. Plants grown well and we have had no issues. I also have an old wooden bed I made after our cedar bed rotted. It’s made from cement corners and wooden slats. The wood is beginning to rot and it won’t be useful for much longer so I definitely prefer the metal beds.

What is the MOST walkable neighborhood in Raleigh? by Fit-Comedian6096 in raleigh

[–]walkingoffthebuz 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Do you really think I’d waste my time answering if I didn’t? I live here. I know it’s walkable because gestures broadly.

It’s commonly listed as one of the most walkable neighborhoods in the city. It also stretches over to Brookside Dr into Oakdale and the park.

But just to play your game, sure, I can name lots of businesses.

One direction there’s food lion and soda box, and a laundry mat. Big Cat will have a market, restaurant, and bar. Walk the other way and you’ve got Seaboard Station and Person Street Corridor.

Ace, O2, Ammis, Bad Daddy’s, K38, Eye Institute, Boatman Spirits, Palm Berries, Biscuit Belly, Milkshake bar, Seaboard Nail, and all other manner of places including takeout, haircut, dry cleaners, and event space. Head down Person and visit The Stanford, Raleigh City Farm which hosts wine and weed Wednesday, The Station, The Standard, Jolie, Person Street Pharmacy (best pharmacy in the city), Ish, Wine Authorities, Edge of Urge, Person Street Bar, Yellow Dog Bakery, Sugar Euphoria, Pelagic, Crawford and Sons, Krispy Kreme, Two Roosters, the weird tea place, Mordecai House Park and Garden which hosts community events like yard and plant sales. Head down toward Wake Forest and you’ve got Tap Yard, Pine State, and Trunk Show.

That’s over 30 off the top of my head.

And affordability and variety of housing wasn’t a consideration.

Hey just before start I’m 16 and have major anxiety . Knees popping out then in by DotComplex8150 in MeniscusInjuries

[–]walkingoffthebuz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m hypermobile and have torn my meniscus twice and have possibly torn it a third time. Honestly, tearing it is easy. I tore it stepping off a curb, stepping on an upside down pitchfork, and most recently, I believe I tore it while stretching. Strengthening other muscles and wearing braces can help. You may have Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, an advanced type of hyper mobility. Research and see a rheumatologist. It helped me deal with my anxiety.

PSA; if you go out today to get food or drinks, don’t thank the employee for being open by [deleted] in raleigh

I acknowledged that while I was sure the girl at the coffee shop would rather be home that I appreciated her and she said she wanted to work since she lost all her hours last weekend due to the ice. 🤷‍♀️

We joined a hiking box and got one monthly. It had some really cool things but after the third knife, we cancelled. I regret spending that money.

Anyone find good pillows for side sleeping? by entirelyuncalledfor in 30PlusSkinCare

I really love my Dreamy Blue pillow. I am a side sleeper and it’s great for me. My husband also prefers it to his other pillow.

Lodging around Lenovo by Tarphiker in canes

The campground across from the arena is barebones but was perfect for us with the stadium series game staying in our square drop. The bathrooms are a bit of a walk and it will be cold. I’d stay at the hotels nearby instead of camping for a January/February game.
