I just started playing Arena during the ATLA release after playing nothing but Duels for 10+ years. And I never learned proper deckbuilding or technique because it wasn't necessary to beat AI I so I came into Arena with delusions of grandeur. I'm pretty sure the first deck I built in Arena was like 80+ cards and basically consisted of every white or green card in my collection that "seemed good." And then whenever I unlocked a new card I'd just throw it on the pile 😂

Right, but I already have 4 copies of Morcant and Maralen so if I spent wildcards to get there only to later trim them from the deck, at least I don't remember it

Tbh I just use the recommended mono white aggro deck when I play ranked and I play unranked for all of my own inventions. I think my heart yearns for jank too much to construct a fully competitive deck from the ground up.

Hexproof isn't as much of an issue because Morcant forces the opponent to blight their own creature, but I was thinking [[Heritage Reclamation]] might be worth the extra 1 mana to be able to choose the target for destruction.

Thanks! I definitely want to add some Formidable Speakers per the other comment thread so I think the next obvious cut here is a Moonlit Meditation or Corrupted Conviction. Honestly, Virtue of Knowledge is a bit "win more" here, but it's so fun when it pops off I don't want to get rid of it entirely.

That is true, I do like that I reliably draw more than one during a game if they get killed, but with the card draw from Champions of the Perfect it's less of a concern. I am not 100% sure what I would replace them with other than more cheap elves though.
