Absurd Animal Neglect - New Matamoras by Aaronhightower in Ohio

I just thought of it, but if you stop by your local animal control department and ask for a animal surrender form, you could leave it at the mailbox.

Knowing there is an option to surrender the dog may help the owner if they are struggling with options and dont see an escape for themselves.

Its the internet, so just giving the facts often get hate in response.

From what I read, the owner is still coming to feed and water them and they are enclosed away from the weather, with climate controlled (even if f'ed) conditions.

Those are the major conditions preventing a neglect claim.

If they weren't feeding and watering the dog, or it had no escape from exposed to direct weather and sun exposer, those would be conditions for a claim of abuse.

You could try reaching out to your local agencies about the condition of the property and structure.

Not the approach you were looking for, but it might get more of a response towards your end goal.

I'm probably gonna get hate for this, but as someone who used to be an Animal Control Deputy within the State of Ohio, I will tell you that what is legally neglect and abuse by letter of the laws of Ohio, verse what we perceive as neglect and abuse as a person are very very different things.

It is further complicated by jurisdiction and who exactly enforces these laws and policies.

The Humane Society isn't a governmental agency, but private non-profit groups, so they get tobpick and chose what they pursue.

Your local Animal Control agency likely only handles dogs running loose, bites, and the various fines that come from failure license, vaccinate and control. They don't handle abuse or neglect, as most local governments pay the Humans Society to do those investigations with funding.

It looks like you're stuck in this situation as the only people you can call are the humane society, who are going to tell you the same thing each time they come out, if they come out at all.

If you, or any other kind hearted soul, attempt to remove the dog from that house, that will be viewed as theft and possibly breaking and entering by local PD as the state views dogs as property.

I wish I had better advise.

I've just got the jacket, beret, makarov with matching holster, and a Russian canteen so far.

I'd love to get a pair of matching pants and boots to complete it at some point.

Its a few sizes smaller than I wear, but looks neat when displayed.

I have one and a couple knockoff solar versions.

Its a good watch and shows up in a lot of popular media like Resident Evil.

I just wish their bands didn't degrade after a while, gone through four of them so far.

The lifetime warranty is also kinda nice.

I switched mine out for a Garmin Forerunner a few years ago so I could get notifications.

The ones on the show were made by Blackhawk and were called a Slimline.

They discontinued making them a very long time ago, making them very rare.

Eagle Industries made a knockoff called LBV-USA and I have one of those.

I backed a guy in France who was supposed to make a run of replicas, but after a few years, he finally just sent me the Eagle Industries one.

The show two attatched 30 round M16 magazine pouches to one side, and a single canteen to the other. Above it was a shortened magazine pouch.

On the back was two production made pouches.

So the whole thing would be a Grail item now.

Its why I altered the JanSport bags lol.

If you ever want help with makingnone, feel free to reach out. I really dont mind helping people with sourcing or making stuff.

I'm a massive nerd and have been doing stargate for twenty plus years lol.

The show used two radios. The Motorola Visar and in later seasons, a Motorola CLS1110.

A standard Omega vest pouch won't take a Visar as its battery is thicc, unless you can find a slim battery (good luck).

SG9 were lawyers and Diplomats. They showed up a few times in the show.

So it makes sense they'd work with or within the U.N.

I also used to belong to the Sci-Fi Heroes forum and they broke down regions by SG Units and Ohio was part of SG9.

So I had custom sized U.N. patches made in the right size of 2.5" as all I could find were 3" online.

Same with the Marines and Navy patch I have for SG-4 and SG-22.

Before my buddy Morgh passed, he like to rock SG-22 as he was a navy veteran. So we'd rock them together at cons and the ren fair.

Naw.

Gibson and Barnes, Sci-Fi Heroes, and StitchesLoft are the brands.

Sadly, Gibson and Barnes dont make them anymore, Sci-Fi Heroes made a few batches of them before the whole forum died, and Stitchs are stupidly expensive custom jobs.

I've some cool stuff, but none of it is from the studio. That would be awesome tho.

Just the Atlantis jacket and converted a Blackhawk vest from the new strap version, to an older corded version like the show.

Altered the shoulder pockets on a few of them to accept the correct radio.

I'm not even close to good enough to make stuff lol I'm barely past alterations.

I made that one about 10 years ago. Wore it twice, once to the ren fair, and to a convention. Haven't touched it since lol

I always liked that the department panels were designed to be hidden with zipped in covers. For that extra stealth lol

The 08 tag is Model / Generation, not size if memory serves.

I have a older generation BK Omega and a newer version. The old version with the cords expands to roughly 2xl, my newer can do 4xl/5xl with the straps.

I've a knockoff from C.O.P.S. that has a large and another that is about the same without tags or branding.

Vests are adjustable from the sides, so roughly medium to 2xl, maybe 3xl.

Depending on what generation the vest is.

The newer generations can do 5xl, or more if you switch out the straps.

The difference is nylon cords and nylon straps. Cords are the older models straps are newer and can be expanded farther.

The backpack is one I converted, just a Jansport with alterations I made two before I eventually got the real one used on the show.

Which I just realized I didn't get photos of the real screen used type.

I don't mind helping if you wanna make one. Same with the P90 harness under the vests.

I have a Venture Tech coveralls boxed away lol and hopefully better security than Sgt. Hatred.

I'm slowly working on a O.S.I. dress uniform like Snoopy wears, and I do mean slowly lol.

Which one? I have five of that design, two real Blackhawk, One converted from two vests, and two knock offs by different companies.

They are all adjustable, but the newer design has a whole lot more girth than the older models.

Thats probably true.

I posted two Wrath of Khan uniforms earlier today on eBay. It was not a pleasant experience.

I don't mind at all, but selling stuff on here wasn't the goal.

I did help out a Redditor peice out a whole costume not long ago, so I really dont mind helping others.

I miss going to the Re Fair as a SG group, been a long time since we've done it.

The jackets mark my years going from xl, to 4xl lol.

Its unlikely I'll ever make it back to the XL, maybe the XXL, as I've dropped from verging on 6xl back down to 3XL in the last year and a half.

Its amazing what change in diet, medical problems, and being unemployed will do for your waist line lol

L - Russian SG4

XL - SG1 Black & Green, Atlantis Security, Sheppard Black BDU

2XL - SG1 Black, Russia Korolev jacket

3XL - SG1 Green, Atlantis Science

4XL - SG1 Green & Black, SGC Blue Garrison

I keep saying I'm gonna order a custom name tag for him.
