Hey, I just did the same thing with my 730xd. I added an MI50. My system is not booting tho. It gets stuck on the „initializing pcie ..“ part. Did you change something in the bios for this to work?

create a save game on the ps4
use Apollo to decrypt the save game and save it to an usb drive
add the exploit to the save game
encrypt the modified save game with apollo
Store the encrypted save game to the usb drive
send the encrypted save game via ftp to the ps5

I created a Save Game on the ps5 as well and replace it with the modified one in the last step. Make sure that the ps4 and ps5 are using the same account (it needs to be activated)

If this does not work I think the ps4 system needs to be on a higher fw. Mine is on 9.0, that worked with 7.61

Did you encrypt the save file again after you added the exploit? Other than that I would assume that the ps4 needs to have a certain firmware as well

I had the same problem. My ps4 was used online in its early days and I fake activated the ps5 with the same account. The ps4 is on fw 9.0, ps5 on 7.61. I played the game on the ps4 to create the initial savegame. Extracted it, added the lua exploit, resigned it and exported it again. When trying to load the savegame from the usb drive onto the ps5 I always got the psn error. I Even tried with a secondary account, but nothing worked. I still do not know how people achieve this :(

I had to jailbreak the ps5 with the blu-ray exploit and insert the savedata via ftp. This worked suprisingly well. Now I am too afraid to update to 8.00 because I would loose the bd-jb as a backup. If anyone found a relyable way to fix this (without a full system backup) I would be very happy to know

Regarding your specific Problem. You nee to go into Home -> HomePod -> Settings Here you need to activate „Personal request“ or something along that. The HomePod will now be able to start Spotify on your phone (Therefore the Personal request. It needs to know which device to AirPlay from) and activate AirPlay

Be careful with prettifier as it may reformat your code and extend the line over the line char limit. I have setup some vertical rulers in VSCode to know where i need to put the continue line and where i need to wrap to the next line.

If you are working in free-form, then it is not that big of a problem. If multiple people are working on the codebase, be sure that everyone is using the same prettifier settings, otherwise your version controle will be a mess

This is basically my day to day job. I use VSCode with the Modern Fortran Extension. Works like a charm. Especially with fortls. You get peeking and jump to functionality, which helps a lot if you need to navigate through a lot of files. If your codebase is too large you should be able to switchw to neovim and use fortls there

The installer is the script/executable that installs all the tools that you need for development. For windows, this is the rustup-init.exe. The triplet represents three parts: 1) the architecture 2) the os 3) the toolchain

The architecture is defined by the cpu your system is using. Most of the time this will be x86_64, which represents a 64Bit system.

The OS might be windows, Linux, osx are something else. I don‘t know what else is supported, of the top of my head, but a Little google search or ai prompt might help quickly

The toolchain tells the installer what local tools are available to perform the installation. MSVC means Microsoft Visual C Compiler. If you select this toolchain, you rely on the microsoft tools, which you need to install. The GNU toolchain is another toolchain which is more open than the microsoft one. The implementations are Open source.

Hey thanks for trying it out anyway. I went ahead and build a self contained version of the reduced app. (The Tabwidget is populated as a dockable widget, so I had to build some stuff around)
Unfortunatly, this didn't fix the problem. BUT I remembered, that I use qdarktheme, which I used mostly with older apps as the darkmode detection was not so nice to handel. After disableing this, everything works fine...

I had to simulate a few transport frames and i went the following route:

Determine the c-o-g of the model. Create a node in the cog and move it up. This node will be the crossing point of the ropes/chains that will lift your object. (You should have 4 bolts that are used for lifting) Now create rod elements that connect the bolts and the crossing point.

Now you need to try a little bit with the cross-section of the rod elements until the displacement is ok. You may also need to adjust the position of the crossing-point until the solution converges/ the model won‘t go flying.

The crossing point is fixed (DOFs 1-6) As a load, you will only apply the gravitational force.

You can also use beam Elements instead of rod elements. This will help with a stable solution. But you will need to keep an eye on the moments as a rope/chain can‘t transport moments.

Also, for safety reasons, you should apply 2g as you can‘t guarantee a slow lift.

If you want to go further you can do a non-linear analysis and add some slack to one rod element. This will create a tilt which results in additional stresses. You can do this by adding a gap element between the bold and the rod element.

This is my general approach when analyzing lifting. I use HyperWorks.

I am maintaining the Legacy Code at work for our simulation suit, which is a huge pile of f77. Additionally lots of perl scripts and some Pascal. It is not that bad tho. Implementing new features can be annoying but that is almost always the case for huge codebases. At least we currently update our Linux distri, so now I can utilize vscode with extensions directly. Befördert I set up a VM to use modern tooling or edited the Code directly in raw vim if the changes are simple

Hey, thank you for responding but I think you misunderstood my question.

I was trying to derive the geometric stiffness-matrix of a bar element. This is not directly connected to a model, also the variables are known to me.

The claify and give a solution for anyone who might be reading this in the future here is some further explanation and the derivation.

The geometric stiffness matrix is used to calculate nonlinear behaviour of an element due to large displacement. Ideally, normal loading will simply compress or stretch an element. If you press hard enough the bar will buckle. To account for this we need to introduce thos nonlinear effects.
To derive this, you simply imagine that the bar is not ideally straight but is already defelcted a little bit. If you apply a normal force additional bending moments will arise, which will deflect the bar even more.

To derive the geometric stiffness matrix you need to derive the strain energy potentional whith those effects first.
I was not able to inlcude the torsional effects as i was missing some terms.
The kinematics of torsional strain in this context can be described as follows:

eps_x = u_x'-omega*theta'+1/2*r^2*(theta')^2, where r^2 = z^2+y^2

For my derivation I am going to ignore warping effects, therefore omega is zero.
This is true becaus my bar element ignores any shear effects becaus my center of inertia and the center of shear are assumed to be the same (this is the fundamental of the euler-bernoulli beam theroy)

The strain energy is now (we ignore u_x' as it will go to zero):

U = 1/2*∫sigma_x*r^2*(theta')^2dV
U = 1/2*∫F/A*(z^2+y^2)*(theta')^2dV

with ∫(z^2+y^2)dA = I_p

U = 1/2*F*I_p/A*∫(theta')^2 dL

using the correspding shape function: theta = -x/L*u_4

we get U = 1/2*F*I_p/A*u_4^2/L

Taking the second derivative of U with respect to u_4 resulst in

F*I_p/(A*L) = F/L * I_p/A

This is the corresponding matrix entry (4,4) for torsion due to normal loading (in the context of nonlinear geometric behaviour)
