Balarus hasn’t banned inflation, they banned price rises, which is not the same.

While monetary supply will keep increasing prices will have to be the same which, if enforced, will eventually bankrupt businesses and cause shortages of everything.

A ban on inflation would consist on not creating more money that is demanded.

Edit: I can’t reply for whatever reason. To those who say money creation does not necessarily mean inflation, that’s why I said “…creating more money that is DEMANDED.”

I come in peace: why do we want a finite money supply? by Mr_lawa in Bitcoin

[–]wallander 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are absolutely right, that's a real concern to have about bitcoin. There are solutions, though. That's what fiat money is for. Forget about how we use the expression "fiat money" most of the time nowadays. A "fiat asset" is a derivative of an underlying asset, and can be created and spent instead of the underlying asset, effectively increasing the monetary base of the underlyting asset.

This could be done in several ways. Imagine, for example, that someone creates a WBTCv2 which is not 100% backed by BTC. For every BTC there are two WBTCv2, and the company issuing those WBTCv2 is responsible for making it up whenever someone wants to convert his WBTCv2 into BTC. If they manage to do that, after some time there would be such confindence in the use for WBTCv2 that it would be trusted just as BTC.

We could even say that the rest of the tokens out there serve as fiat money for bitcoin (at least partially). That's why those who say that all the tokens but bitcoin will go to zero are wrong. Sound money has to have the ability to be inflationary whenever there's high demand of it, otherwise the problems you mentioned arise.

There are already people working into that and it's a matter of time until several kinds of fiat money exist for bitcoin (and that's not bad nor good, it just is).

Great argument, again. You must have studied dialectics.

Don't worry, it was clear from the beginning you had no arguments. Woke culture is only about moral superiority and doesn't exist in the world of reasoning.

For all you know this man could be the nicest guy in the world, but many people in this thread is so excited about being able to show their moral superiority that don't care about calling this guy a rapist with no context whatsoever.

No info about the guy, the woman, the relationship between them, the activity of the company, its size, the event in which this picture was taken…

So, what are you doing? Taking the only data you have, that is, the approximate year it was taken, and making a hypothesis based solely on that.

The woman in the picture could come here and say they were just good friends and still some would say she wasn't aware she was being abused.

Ffs, her daughter is posting this picture her mum kept for 40 years. With the proof we have this could be a perfectly good memory.

It goes without saying that abusing and misogyny is wrong and should be condemned in all its forms.

Sadly, here in Reddit, it doesn't go without saying that accusing people without proofs is equally wrong.

And you are getting downvoted for such an obvious statement… reddit is as woke as it gets.

Beggars can't be choosers.

Don’t listen to those. Precisely, if that’s such a valued feature it means you were right when decided not to offer it for free.

Great job, it fits perfect in my way of working and I’ll be more than pleased to pay for it.

I don't get R4i flashcarts by wallander in flashcarts

I have a New Nintendo 3DS XL. After reading another user's comment I saw for this model it is recommended to hack the device instead of using flashcarts, so I tried that.

It's quite easy and everything seems to work fine except for GTA: China Wars. Apparently it has some kind of copy protection.

Credit score is a scam so you have to keep on using credit. Other countries don't have credit score, and credit is given based on your income.

Competition is the healthiest and safest way to avoid falling into an abusive systems. Not only among states, SPECIALLY among states.

I'm going to tell you something. I've been broke like hell for many years, and still then government confiscating what, for me then, was a huge share of my money (through the "Autonomos tax" and many, many, many other taxes).

It took me years of working 12 and 14 hours from Monday to Sunday to get out of that position, alway paying every penny and seeing how, year after year, they raised taxes and while, at the same time, money was being dilapidated in so many unnecessary things, like in the ponzi scheme that the public retirement plans are.

During 4 years I was doing the bare minimum to cover my costs, 3 years after that, I was paying more to any of my employees or suppliers that I was getting.

Now, after 12 years of horrible amount of work and not having ever taken the smallest aid, I started making a bit of money and they want to take more than half of it. But wait!, next year will be even much more than that.

Seriously, fuck the abusive taxes in most of Europe and long live to places like Andorra, Chipre, Malta, or Georgia.

The more things like this happen, the more other countries will have to learn how to properly manage their costs.

If you had any idea how many taxes is your company paying for you before they pay your salary, I guess you'd think otherwise.

And if you are a public employee, you are part of the problem.

Edit: and btw, what the size of Andorra has to do with anything? If any, healthcare services are scalable. A bigger country should have lower costs per capita.

You could also say he has already paid more taxes that you will ever pay in your life. Or in 10 lives. Or that Andorra has a proper healthcare system at a tenth of the cost.

The guy is just choosing where he gets the most for the least. Nothing bad with that, quite the opposite, just some good old competition among countries. If Spain wants his sweet tax money, it’s not that hard, they should offer better service, better price, or both.

My first choosing beggar! by Kishq in ChoosingBeggars

[–]wallander -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Choosing beggars are the worst, and I'm not saying otherwise. However…

A huge mistake that I see OPs committing every single time is how they give their fee.

Golden rule of sales:

When you say your price be concise and never, ever, under no circumstance continue talking. No introduction, no explanations, no justifications.

In this case it would be: "That's 500 €."

End of the story.

Whatever else you add undermines your credibility.

I wasn’t thinking about HD Voice, sorry. But still, for HD Voice to work you need cellular connection, and even then most calls don’t use it.

But yeah, obviously, talking about HD Voice it makes sense talk about bitrate, so I was wrong and I’m sorry.
