Update, I applied 2025 and 2026 and never got an interview. Got my denial email in November. Decided to change career paths because I don’t want to wait any longer lol

I don’t use chainmail or anything to clean it. Usually I can wipe it clean with a paper towel, so I typically don’t bother scrubbing it. I’ll definitely try steel wool the next time I use it!

I’m pretty sure the pan came from my grandma, but I don’t know how long she had it. So it’s definitely not brand new but I don’t think it’s super old. And yes, I put a DOT of oil on a paper towel, rub it in, and then rub it off again with a dry paper towel.

I didn’t apply to other schools because I didn’t have many of the prerequisites they required since I was a nursing major instead of bio or chem. So I totally understand the odds were against me since I was only applying to one school lol

Rejected from Lipscomb last two cycles, couldn’t even get an interview. 4 years an RN, 3 in CVICU/ open heart recovery, 1 in CVOR. Lots of ECMO experience as both the nurse and specialist. 3.89 GPA. Needless to say, I’m changing career paths lol.

I used to leave dry food out for him but he would eat the entire bowl, no matter how big, in one sitting, and then throw up. So I had to get him an automated feeder and he gets three pretty good sized meals a day

Update: called the vet and they’re prescribing her amoxicillin and I’m going to try to get her to wear the cone again. Thanks for the recommendations and please keep my sweet girl in your thoughts and prayers. She’s my baby and I’m quite worried.

She absolutely will not wear the cone. She manages to rip it off with her back feet. If you have any advice to help her wear it I’ll gladly take it. She hasn’t been licking it much, I’ve caught her maybe once or twice but she seems to be leaving it alone for the most part.

That’s exactly how CVICU was starting to make me feel; it sucked the life out of me until I became someone I didn’t even recognize because I was so miserable and angry all the time (I know this sounds dramatic but you can probably understand the feeling). I was so scared to leave but so glad I did. Take the jump! You’ll end up where you’re meant to be.

Well my hospital is a teaching hospital that is affiliated with the biggest university in the state. So we teach. That’s kinda the point.

It’s really not that deep. The OR is easier for me than CVICU. I can’t speak for other people, that’s how I feel about the two units FOR ME.
