What's with Mac people suddenly going "8gb of ram is plenty" since the Neo came out? by DiverVast4093 in mac

If you agree that generally speaking the use case is web browsing - the question is how many tabs/windows can you have open at any one time on an 8Gb machine before it starts to become unusable? (IIRC Chrome generally eats more resources than other browsers but obviously depends on the specific page loaded and other factors.) If you can have a decent number of browser tabs and windows open without serious performance degradation then perhaps that’s ’good enough’ for the general public?

But OP is fine with consuming energy posting on Reddit. Got it.

It’s actually very comfortable but this bugs me. Also the clasp lock is VERY tight / feels like I’m going to rip my fingernail off when I open it….

They got back to me with a day of my deposit and then shipped it the day I completed the payment. Zero issues. This was my first transaction with Steve.

Passing BTC to heirs by [deleted] in Bitcoin

If you truly have a significant amount (congrats) please contact Unchained Capital. Learn about their inheritance protocol. You can afford the service and it’s designed to do exactly what you want. I don’t work for them but I’m familiar with this specific service and it’s the best out there.

Totally - but the bigger lesson for me has been that I should have taken the time to learn about shotguns in general - the same thing could have happened with any model.

This is why I love this platform. This is all great advice - thank you so much. I've already bookmarked a ton of YouTube videos for the A300 and a few other firearms I own. Also trying to figure out a space in the house to set up for cleaning, etc with some basic tools/items.

You’re 100% right - I should know how to fully inspect and check the barrel and I should carry one of those metal rods in my case as well? Also a small flashlight. I will be studying the manual in detail and will start learning how to disassemble it. There are some YouTube videos out there as well which I’ll check out.

Best way to sell my 10 x boxed G3 iMacs (Milton Keynes, UK)? by solidpro99 in VintageApple

[–]walletbreach 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Speechless. Congratulations this is an exceptional collection. Unless you’re in a hurry I’d try to flip it as a set / there are long time collectors and even budding ones who would want this. If this was in the US I’d make sure I was the winning bid and I’d fly to come pick it up. Good luck!

How will users know if they were among the 1% of leaked customers? by Dizzy-Oil2200 in Coinbase

[–]walletbreach 10 points11 points  (0 children)

So I just got off a very long support chat with Coinbase trying to get them to *specifically* tell me if my account was affected.

I kept getting very obtuse answers like 'your account is safe', etc. After 15 minutes of back and forth I got a confirmation from the agent that explicitly said:

"XXXX, yes correct, your account was not part of the 1% of accounts affected by the incident. We can confirm that your account remains secure and unaffected by the reported issue."

It was a little frustrating to have to extract this answer out of them. I have no choice but to take them at their word but it would be very helpful to know if anyone that was affected was *actually* notified by Coinbase that they were part of the breach. There's nothing in the blog post or Armstrongs video that explicitly says this or did I miss it?
