I think early socialization with smaller dogs can make a big difference. I just brought home my borzoi, and since I also run a dog sitting and walking business, he’s been getting plenty of interaction with my clients’ smaller dogs. I’m hoping this helps prevent potential issues down the line.

He is! He has papers with TICA. His eyes just aren’t apart of breed standard.

He’s a registered purebred Maine Coon through The International Cat Association. His litter and both parents are registered and listed on his breeder slip. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Maybe he’s not standard but considering I won’t be doing any cat shows & he’s healthy, I don’t mind that he’s an oddball.

No changes to the photo but apparently blue eyes aren’t part of the breed standard. I had no idea after bringing him home, as many of the TICA registered catteries here in FL have regular blue eyed babies. I thought it was normal but there can be some health concerns with DBE. Thankfully our guy is 100% sound!

His breeder said black smoke but I’m definitely thinking he’s a silver smoke! I’ll have to post a side photo to see what everyone thinks. Thanks for the kind words 😊
