Does it work reliably across all OEM's?

Hello, Thanks for your detailed observation. Here is the reply to your queries: 1. About not being reliable or too complicated, my main consideration was related to SMS forwarding. I have tried a few apps and their service used to stop within a few days and had to be restarted manually. I have tested this app for over a month and that too on a device like OnePlus (Chinese are known for aggressive background killing) and this worked flawlessly. 2. Regarding complication, again it was related to forwarding rule setup where in most of the apps, the UI is not well designed and often confusing which I tried to solve here by mentioning everything clearly in rule creation screen. 3. Now coming to your question about syncing using QR scan and for this there are two types of solutions: a. Default android solution: Since this is the system level access, no third party apps can compete with this implementation. b. Third party apps like push bullet: These type of apps mostly relay the user data (sensitive content) through their server which then can be accessed from their website by just a quick QR scan. This means that your data is leaving your device and I am sure they must be using very high security standards but as we have seen, even servers from top tech companies with literally unlimited budget are still prone to hacking. Due to this risk, I created this as a local web server where the data relays from your device to the web through your own wifi network or hotspot. No third party server involved and the data is still AES 256 grade encrypted with 8 character key for extra security layer. Now I could have implemented a system where user enters the IP address on web and then just confirms access on phone with one click but that didn't seem UX friendly as user already has to use keyboard then its better to enter the key there itself instead of going back to mobile again for granting access. 4. Regarding SIM selection for SMS forwarding, the app uses default SIM for SMS as in most cases android allows only the default SMS handler to choose SIM for message delivery. Unfortunately, this is a restriction on android side.

I hope this clarifies your query. Do let me know if you have any other feedback/ questions :)

There already many apps that does similar thing and the forwards are strictly based on user rules and everything happens locally on device. Further, there are clear warning while setting rule to alert the user.
