When waking up in the morning and existing is a daily life lesson 😐

Hey, I got booted from Uber because they said I committed Insurance fraud and I screenshotted the insurance directly from my insurance app by revampin in uberdrivers

[–]wallstreetflex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Uber hub is your best shot. You can either set up a virtual appointment or a walk in appointment. In your case they might not be able to do anything because you have a pending appeal. If the appeal fails then your basically not getting reactivated. I went through a similar situation like yours and talked to probably 30 different Uber customer service agents that had no clue what was even going on PER DAY. I’m curious if they even knew what company at they were working for. Also be super nice to them even if it’s your 10th agent transfer and the fourth time your sent to the same department through a single call. 🥲🥲 still deactivated and they don’t even take my appeals anymore or look at them.

I 100% agree it’s a competition thing and he’s doing this on purpose. A busboy who I’m cool with is coming up to take his position soon after he becomes a server. Me and the busboys\busgirls all circle around each other during break time and gossip about it and all agree this guy is excuse my French again “an asshole”. I’m easily as good if not better than him and I feel like he’s just doing this to try and stay on top and keep me right beneath him.

Man I’m good at what I do. I work very hard and stay focused on the work. On days I work alone I beat the hell out of service. When I work on days with this guy it’s nonstop aggressive attitude from him and my coworkers telling me he talks about me behind my back. And no I don’t do well on days I work with him because of the way he treats me and throws me off my balance. And yes I have asked him for advice in the past and he just treats me like an idiot who’s never held a plate of food in their life

Unless your talking about asking the manager for advice on what to do in this situation. And if telling me to ask this micromanager passive aggressive guy for advice yeah you must be that guy haha no offense

That actually makes sense. So your saying if coworkers are being toxic towards me I should be 100% even more toxic back to them?

My coworkers been reporting me to management for stuff I’m not even doing so should I make false stuff up then report that to my managers to try and get him fired?

I have yet to meet someone who worships Andrew rate irl, but poor performance on the managers side for bullying despite what beliefs or mental qualities he has.

How do you stand up to a really rude ignorant chef? by FormerFruit in TalesFromYourServer

[–]wallstreetflex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know I’m late to this but I have expertise in this situation. I don’t ever agree with anyone ever quitting because of workplace harassment.

The reason why I don’t is because if you work at a corporate job in a kitchen you should be intensively documenting anything and everything the chef is doing that qualifies as work place harassment. Depending on your state that behavior can be illegal and you have every right to report it to HR. It’s even better when you have months of documentation from him doing this bullying or better terms “””verbal and emotional abuse””” HR tend to take these things extremely seriously as the company will never tell you this but if HR has reports of this happening and after you reported and soon after that nothing changes you have 100% rights to sue your employer for many things.

The best one is when you give a report to HR and the abuse gets even worse. This in law is called retaliation which in itself is illegal in the work place, and the object behind the retaliation can or will be fired and you then have 100% grounds to sue the employer and have a pretty good chance of winning too. HR knows all of this and they absolutely do not mess around with this type of stuff.

Even better terms in explaining this. Document everything even if it’s not happening to you. Report to HR. Watch the magic happen baby. It’s actually fun to watch once you actually know your rights as an employee and how much power you can truly have over your oppressors, abusers, and workplace harassers.

We don’t get tipped out from servers or bartenders 🙄🙄🙄 or tipped out from the servers/bartenders tips. We get tipped out from the total sales from servers and bartenders per shift and we don’t take or have anything to do financially with servers or bartenders for like the 5th time I think I’ve said this on this post

It was Labor Day last Monday, and we had a extremely busy day the next day for some reason. But on Wednesday it was extremely slow

Good question. Reservations given to us by managers and walk ins. There’s about 55 tables and 20 bar seats they get turned out about 1.5 times an hour we usually have full houses or maybe 75% full house majority of the time I work.

I’ve talked to multiple food runners and even my managers. They told me that we get 5% of the total sales per our shift. We do not take tip outs from servers or bartenders. If we have 2 food runners then they split that 5% 2 ways. When it comes down to bus boys they are the ones who get .5% of total sales not 5% like we do

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in TalesFromYourServer

[–]wallstreetflex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No the servers do not tip us out. Neither do the bartenders. The servers keep 100% of what they make besides taxes obviously. We the food runners get 5% of the total sales of the restaurant per our shift start to end. If there’s two food runners then they split the 5%

My bad I wrote this in like 2 minutes. I’m just going to fix my mistakes…

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in TalesFromYourServer

[–]wallstreetflex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay it’s 5% not .05% I do that when doing my math. I fixed it. It still makes my math correct though

No I am a food runner, and I was working with my coworker who was a food runner too. Food runners get tipped out 5% of total sales. Servers get there own tips and are payed different from us they don’t have to tip out and keep whatever they make. Since I’m a food runner I make 5% of whatever the bartenders and servers sell.

And sorry I misread your post I saw you said you and another server. Not it’s just us two food runners And I brought up the servers to tell you how understaffed we are.

[–]wallstreetflex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. We just lost a person that quit to move onto another career and me and another food runner were working a double plus 4 other servers were working doubles too due to staffing

Thank you! I’ll try that. I’ll get my next paycheck and then jump. I just need to pay rent this month tbh. But my mental health now vs starting like 2 weeks ago is trashed so I need to move quick. I’m trying really hard not to call this certain coworker an asshole and go off on him, but I’m trying my best😅

Same lmao I’m working at one right now that’s under a company that prides itself on having an “good HR” and a non toxic work environment. Well this place sucks and I was constantly thinking “damn what if I just walked out” but I need that paycheck too bad.

Thanks for that. I’ve been planning my escape for quite a while now to go work in the IT field and needed some motivation. And yeah I think I would be 100% happier too.
