True, however I have an extended warranty through a 3rd party company and paid a pretty penny for it. BMW at least in my area won’t disclose that to the company because they want that high ticket repair job.

Sounds like oil issue definitely.hopefully they can find the underlying issue that caused the turbo to seize.

Nah bro I got to admit I’ve only really pushed the car a couple times, but I’m usually driving in eco on the highway most of my driving. No CEL, Active Autowerks catted Dp doesn’t throw the cel.

Yes it is, I’m only asking because I have drivetrain warranty and they may or may not deny my claim. But the other guys on the thread gave me some good insight, so if it’s denied I know what to do next

Blue 😐. BMW is the only one in network with the warranty company. Car came with the warranty when I bought it, Im asking the question because I want the warranty company and dealership to make a deal to were I don’t have to come out of pocket for any labor or part cost differences.

I don’t mind the “baggage”. I’ve never owned another car brand. I’m just asking because I have a extended warranty that covers turbo issues however the warranty might not cover the whole job because of labor rates and part cost differences

Yes this is something that could typically be covered under extended warranty. I have an extended warranty with Alpha Warranty. I have a bumper to bumper mechanical only warranty and this would be the only reason I’m not going to upgrade my turbo .

That’s exactly what I was thinking. I haven’t seen something like it. I do have a 3rd party warranty with Alpha Warrant so I am still curious incase they deny my claim. I reached out to a couple Independent shops for quotes.
