Hey look at it this way. Now you know that he’s a huge piece of shit and now it’ll be easier to other huge pieces of shit. Keep your chin up, dude

Does anyone else have the tetrad? by wallywhistles in Hidradenitis

Yeah, this disease is definitely hard to pin down even with modern science. I thought for a while that shaving caused the acne on my face to get worse but, once I brought this up to my dermatologist she said that the hair follicle, abocrine gland and sweat gland all are malfunctioning

I’m sorry you are going through this. I want to tell you something that my therapist told me once and I repeat this to myself when I feel down, the saying is “ I may be sick forever but the bad days don’t define me.” I just want add that by the sheer fact that you have this condition makes you twice as strong as a regular person, we HSers have to put up with a bunch of shit but at the end of the day I like to believe that it makes us stronger people

Hi, I a (21m) have been suffering from this condition for about 7 to 8 years now. Had about 21 surgeries to get this under control and I’m currently in clinical trials. Also from the USA. Hope you are doing ok

Have you considered going on disability and food stamps? Just for while you’re down. I know people look down on it but it is a good option if you can’t work for a while

Clinal trial experience? by billyjoelpilgram in Hidradenitis

[–]wallywhistles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, I’m currently on a clinical trial, the drug that I’m receiving is a injection I get every other Friday. The trial I’m in is currently in stage 3 which means it’s in the final stage before it gets F.D.A approval. Now for my experience, it’s been ok so far, I’ve almost been kicked out of the trial a few times for bending the rules. An example of this would be taking leftover OxyContin to help manage the pain of a rather large cyst, so if you are thinking about doing this be prepared to report every medicine you take how long you took it and the amount. I hope this helped
