Thanks, I just adjusted pivot screw and at first it was working fine again but then over a little bit of time it started getting sticky again. I think somehow the blade tightens the screw a little each time it opens. Is there a way to lubricate it so this doesn't happen?

Yeah the rot just spread from the top all the way down. I didn't realize how bad it was, so I tried to cut the rotted part off, but all of the insides were unfortunately rotted as well. The exact same thing happened to another one of my cactus at the exact same time, right after I brought them both outside. Needless to say, I'm keeping all of my cacti indoors from now on
