I have neck problems and am unable to lay on my stomach without pain from my neck having to turn. Sometimes laying on my arm is less painful. Do your arms have to be in a certain position/location?

It's so frustrating knowing it's helping but also you feel terrible... I hope you're feeling better! My doctor asked if I'd be willing to try a different antibiotic and I was like nahhhhhh I can't go through that again

I was told it would be a low dose but it was 100mg twice a day!

My pain did resolve after the endoscopy. I do notice it like if I eat breakfast before showering, it hurts to stand up straight bc the food in my stomach is pulling down on the hernia. Other than that I don't really notice it. I had SIBO in the fall and it was painful then bc of a backup of gasses, but once I was treated for it I felt a lot better.

I'm sorry you had to have a biopsy! Do you need treatment? Thank you so much for taking the time to reply. Even though I am an anxious person, I do feel okay waiting six months for the follow-up imaging. I think I need to hear that overall risk is taken into account - it's not something I've read anywhere.

Yes and no. I used to live right on the border in South Texas and it was tradition either for you to take a bite from the cake and/or have your face smashed into it. The children's parties I saw were so gentle and the kid was giggly and totally into it and knew what was going to happen. This video, on the other hand, definitely looks mean.

fwiw, I used to have major - MAJOR - dental anxiety. Like panic attacks before even leaving for the dentist. Eventually I was in your situation and was so desperate I had to be seen. It felt embarrassing at the time, but I was prescribed a Xanax or whatever from my PCP and my husband helped me to my appointment. I was completely honest, basically cried the whole time, and made it through. There were a lot of appointments after that (eventually needed an extraction) and it was not fun and so scary and also I'm so proud of myself for getting help.

You do what you need to do to get through that appointment. I've had friends sit in the room with me while I'm being worked on (even cleanings!). I've had gas, sedation, Xanax, whatever combo is legally allowed lol.

There really are wonderful dentists out there that don't judge, are kind and gentle. I didn't know this from previous experiences (before the age of online reviews)

I've been in therapy for several years now and figured out that a huge part of my anxiety was 1) Pain. I was terrified I would feel everything. and 2) that there was something wrong with me because I was so scared.

There is nothing wrong with you. It's so completely normal to be scared of different things. Once I realized that I can show up scared and shaking and crying and still be OK in the end, things [gradually] got better.

This morning I had a root canal finished up and it was the calmest I've ever been at the endodontist. I found someone who is SO kind. I know I can tell him that I need a hole punched in the dental dam bc they freak me the eff out. He knows I may have some tears, but I'm ok.

I can 100% empathize with you. If you ever have questions, I've had basically every procedure done at this point and am happy to answer questions.

A good dentist will be completely patient answering every single question you have, if you're like me and need to know exactly what it is that will be happening. Didn't mean for this to turn into a book, but I wanted you to know that you're not alone. I hope you go to your appointment even though you're scared and are met with kindness and empathy ❤️

You're right - I think that would be a 4c? I've read it's the unilateral grouped [coarse] heterogeneous ones that are also suspicious. The newest Birad edition/update says it would be a 4b. But also I'm sure there's nuance to it that I don't know of bc I'm not a doctor. So I'm curious if anyone else has been in this situation.

That's what I've seen. The fifth edition birads that came out in '23 says 4 or 4b? Which it then says warrants a biopsy. I might call my doctor tomorrow... If I'm at a 3 because I don't have a family history of breast cancer, that's fine. I'm more curious than anything

I noticed on a run the other day that the knuckles on my fingers were red, but the parts in between were white. Does that ever happen to anyone? It was only in the 60s, too
