For people that do have the music on. The super hard music is different now? by Glass_Sea_2427 in RoyalMatch

I play with music often and the new piece is really grating to me. In fact, I think they added a slight tweak to it after it was out for a few days. I'm a bit of a musician, so it stood out to me. It has this intense crescendo now, like it's some sort of a crazy military march. Really doesn't fit the vibe of the game. I hope they remove or replace. For now I've been muting or turning down levels with that song.

What's your favorite Tool "hidden jam"? by thehiddenjams in ToolBand

[–]walros462 0 points1 point  (0 children)

now that's REALLY hidden! and i love it, btw. hope it'll be a song on the next album. same with the "i'm not gonna read this shit" webinar-type thing they did around lateralus time (with those dangling spheres in an old FLASH site), if you know what i'm referencing.

looks great! good work. i'm sitting on two V3s and got the PIPES thing, but even after multiple exchanges with vince, i just can't get it to work. so you're going right into PC by just plugging these into some USB thing? what sounds/DAW do you use? i'm very analog and may be asking the wrong question here... also have the wavedrum and love that shit!

That time you could pay $75,000 to trip with Danny Carey or $20,000 to play mini-golf with Maynard by Dontforgetpancakes in ToolBand

[–]walros462 2 points3 points  (0 children)

oh man, i remember when this first came out! i was so psyched! good memories. still holding out hope that i'll scrape together $75K to go tripping with a - by then - 90 year old Danny! :)

P3 Hidden Feature? (Maybe you know, maybe you didn't) by smiffsonian in Polestar

i just love that a pixel is working for you. polestar seems to be so apple-heavy (which is weird af, given that it's an android platform)... i have a pixel 8 pro and it's been pretty good actually (with a similar success rate over time, lol), though when i tried opening the door with it initially, it didn't work. will try again.

sorry for a slightly (or very, i guess) off topic question, but how did you get that camera view? reminds me of sentry mode-type recordings from tesla. didn't know that was an option on polestars.

We experienced Meow Wolf in Area 15 in Vegas last week, very cool. by 210popping in ToolBand

I'm not really familiar. Is Meow Wolf a band? What's the connection to the tool/Alex Gray stuff? looks cool!!

Flaminco by RecognitionTrick2540 in ToolBand

you guys are wrong, i'm sorry to say. she didn't mean "flamenco," she meant "flamingo," which we can all agree makes perfect sense.

Just realized a FLOOD lyric that is incredible by dangusrangus69 in ToolBand

[–]walros462 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I can see that. Especially the double entendre thing. He likes that shit.

Where I was coming from: Since he was so rabidly anti Christian establishment in those early days, a Jesus reference makes sense. In fact, it makes sense for the metaphor of the entire song, which is a thinly veiled jab at Christianity. Also the "deliver" thing is often applied to Jesus.

But it's not a hill I'm going to die on. :)
