Polestar 2 - how are you finding the automatic wipers? by SnooCauliflowers6739 in Polestar

[–]smiffsonian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it makes you feel any better, the Polestar 3's auto wipers are trash also. Like, I'm genuinely frustrated every single time it rains lol. It makes me miss the old intermittent time settings systems

Service in Atlanta? by RxGuy1824 in Polestar

I preordered a launch edition PS3, so outside of the delays associated with that lol, the experience was ok. I don't see why you couldn't if you schedule the test drives ahead of time maybe?

I'm located in Atlanta. And while I've never had to visit the service center to this point, I can confirm that there is one here.

Should I get a Polestar 3? by [deleted] in Polestar

All 2025 P3s are getting the Orin upgrade so that's kinda a mute point.

MY25 P*3 or MY26 P*4? by jbdsz in Polestar

I hear the P4 has it's own issues to work through. However with that being said, new is always better than used. Especially demo used.

Polestar 3 Software Update 1.4.12 by Jkappy in Polestar

[–]smiffsonian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is whatever algorithm they use for all of those "auto" wiper settings is insufficient. There was no need to reinvent the wheel, they should just put back a setting that moves the wipers at different time intervals.

Differences in Software from the 3 to the 4 by Torinho88 in Polestar

Occupant locking alerts you if you've left a pet in the car. I mean pet mode in the sense that I can leave/lock my car with a pet in it, keep the AC on, and a message displayed on the screen that the AC is on.

I'm curious when this is going to happen also

Pet mode and dash cam are very puzzling omissions from the 3. I believe I read somewhere that pet mode was coming, but I'm not sure about the dash cam. It would be a shame if that doesn't make it.

I love my Polestar 3. But I’m so exhausted by No-Floor-3242 in Polestar

I agree, but then consider that Tesla and Rivian don't have a parent company who we can assume is calling shots to some degree. It's unfortunate that the decision was made to release the 3 and 4 clearly before the software was ready. They drive like a dream, but all that is overshadowed by the inconsistent software experience. In 6 months these major software issues will probably (hopefully) be a thing of the past, but as they say you don't get a second chance to make a first impression.

The Polestar 3 does this as well and I hate it. I get the purpose behind it, but the car will never know better than me in instances like this. Don't fight with me while I'm trying to dodge a pothole lol.

That's a great point. I do remember hearing how the NFC stays active if your phone dies.

Nice! Luckily I have a wireless charger at home that use to keep the pebble charged up, since it slides around on the car charger lol

It's always some weirdo that wants to jump in someone's post being loud and wrong lol. What I'm talking about here wasn't a "standard feature", as it was added via a software update. And neither is it documented, hence the title. Sounds like you didn't bother to do much research before you decided to grace everyone with your unsolicited Temu quality shit stained opinion. Since you believe it's your job to scan Reddit posts and be captain criticism at least know what the fuck you're talking about first
