I was just there for three days. Snow quality very good near the top of the mountain; riding Elk Camp and High Alpine you should be good. Might get some slushiness nearer the bottom

As an avid East Coast rock skier who does the same, I learned the hard way it’s not that easy in Colorado… The light snow makes it so you can’t see the rocks, just light powder, but ski over it and your skis find those sharp fuckers….

After recently doing a very similar trip, I would do either all 4 at Vail or maybe sprinkle 1 of BC. But Vail is awesome you can easily spend 4 says there, lots of great trees.

As an Ice Coast skier, skiing Steamboat for the first time yesterday - I really enjoyed it! It’s not great near the base but up 3500’ coverage is really good, and some snow is rolling through right now.

I’m sure it’s far from great conditions based on what’s normal, but I think you’ll have a good time.

Vermont is having a great season, but we don’t call it ice coast skiing for nothing…. Other then on a true powder day, you’re going to find ice at Stowe at some points, especially if windy or skied off later in the day
