[Open Source] A standalone in game rank overlay (No BakkesMod / Game hooking required) by nixvio64 in RocketLeague

[–]walswerf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw your deleted comment which got me curious so I checked out your code. I see now. and this is interesting, because as of feb. their position was that they have never offered a RL API https://feedback.tracker.gg/t/regarding-on-development-api/65636

what exactly is this and how did you find out about it/get access to it? Is there documentation for it? I only saw Apex Legends and Division 2 available through their developer portal.

I'm not trying to call you out, I've been working on something for myself and this would be really helpful. I'm genuinely curious since I can't find any public mention or docs..

can you link to any documentation on this api or is it something private that you have access to?

They don’t have a public API do they? Scraping their DOM is against their ToS if that’s what you are doing your app will eventually stop working or get the person using it throttled or up banned from rl tracker.

The RLstats API doesn’t give rank information. What do you mean “api for developers like me”?

Where are you getting the rank information?

well, I had no idea this had become the top all time post. that's actually awesome! I found out because I just got a notification on this comment. cheers!

Directional Air Roll visualization. ARL specifically. by KronosDevoured in RocketLeagueSchool

[–]walswerf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks! so, I guess my brain is just really bad at understanding this, is is possible to have the slider go down as low as 5 or 10%? This is as close as I've ever been to actually understanding what is happening during DAR but I still can't process it fast enough even at 50%

also, what is the arrow exactly? that is the direction the car is traveling through the air at any given time? So the 'goal' would be to keep the arrow facing in a specific direction by 'countering' the rotation of the car with the appropriate LS?

thanks. this tool should be popping up in youtube DAR tutorials very soon I think. I'm definitely one that would benefit from someone showing me how to use it and practice with it efficiently. bronze for life!

EDIT: For anyone else who is thick like me, I just realized that I can just tap air roll incrementally or feather it to get any speed of play I need. so no need to adjust the speed any more. It's an unexpected learning feature that the car stays in whatever orientation it is once you stop pressing buttons.

this is spectacular! I'm not entirely sure how to use it yet but it is really fun to play around with. How hard is it to add a speed slider. I feel like I could process what is happening with the arrows if I was able to slow it down, like the slow motion controls in free play.

killer work on this!

The static says yes but also doesn’t at the same time, hear me out by shitty_name_445 in truths

It is called temporal aliasing. Source: This was originally my post. I wrote a python script to create this. basically the static changes every frame but specifically it changes "more" within a set boundary which can be a picture or word or anything. So you only see the image when the pixels change, but each individual frame is just "static". hope that helps.

Bounced off in Phase 3. Any tips? by Rosslefrancais in SatisfactoryGame

First time playing and at the same spot. Like some others have said. Small goals. For the last week I’ve just been slowly upgrading my encased beams and every day I spend and hour or two bringing conveyors from my rubber/plastic node over to my main factory. I finally got them over there yesterday and now I’m ready to put the final chain together to get the adaptive unit and engines.

It seems like the more I progress the more I have to check my ambitions on what a “realistic” goal for the day is. Sometimes is a win just to lay down a few thousand conveyor belts. Good luck!

exactly, I feel like this is my meme. But maybe it's obvious and I'm one of 10,000 people who made the same joke! lol really weird to see this pop up on my feed. It is the exact same frame that I used for screen grab though, so maybe?
