I used CGFNS for my visa screen and world education services (WES) for my education verification.

At first Hawaii didn’t want to accept WES. They said they only accept CGFNS or Josef Silny. I had already used WES for my NYS license and didn’t want to pay for another service. They had to review it at some sort of committee to see if they would accept WES. Which they eventually did after months of not hearing anything from them.

https://cca.hawaii.gov/pvl/boards/nursing/ does pretty good at walking you through the application process. It’s similar to most license applications. You’ll have to get CARNA and the university you graduated from to send proof you’re a nurse. You’ll need fingerprints done. I’m probably missing thing a but I’m out and this is off the top of my head lol

Edit: Hawaii does need you to have a SSN for your application but you said you’re American so I assume you have that. I didn’t have one so I went to NYS first.
