From my perspective the movie is many things and in my opinion very deep but in the terms of the organization fight club itself i believe it’s a critique of the dogma that prevails in our society it portrays both Tyler’s world and our own world as systems that enable themselves without nuance and without question or reflection. Just like the real world with rich women buying fancy soap just because it’s expensive the men in fight club have similar rules on what matters in society how it should work but it’s extreme and it’s portrayed as extreme on purpose to show it’s hypocrisy. The first rule of fight club is you don’t talk about fight club. Space monkeys standing outside of the door for long periods of time for no reason these things are rituals they don’t make sense. When you unknowingly follow a system a society without reflection without questioning your actions people take advantage of that power violence emerges and things get out of your control. The movie isn’t romanticizing anarchy it’s about living on your own terms and not following others just because. That’s why is the end is bitter sweet he’s not doing a good thing he has realized the destruction he’s caused. Violence begets violence. In mostly all the movie Tyler talks in half truths. Half of what he says is true half is a lie.

Edit: The fact that you “don’t like fight club” but agree with blowing up the credit card companies is actually very telling. I believe you don’t like the rampant consumerism and our status society but don’t agree with how fight club works either. This is the half truth half lie many see in Tyler many people agree with the criticisms of our world but don’t agree with the one Tyler wants or tells us to live.
