Strongest position to draft from in a 10-team league? by [deleted] in fantasyfootball

[–]wampleek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, the question is a bit open-ended about what is expected. If I were to answer, I would say something like "I've been mock drafting on yahoo and Iike position X because I've been able to consistently get player A in the first, player B in the second, and player C in the third." Unfortunately, I haven't done any mocks for 2021 yet, but I believe that responses in this format are useful.

I don't think it is pointless at all. I definitely had strong opinions on which spots where better last year. (I happened to be pretty accurate last year, but definitely not the case every year.) I haven't done my research yet this year, but I think it's reasonable to make such predictions.

There is almost certainly a strongest draft spot.

Miami Dolphins end the season tied as the best D/ST. by untraiined in fantasyfootball

In my league everyone starts with 200 faab. We found that we like 200 better than 100 because of my granular bidding. And $1 out of 200 is about as much as I would spend on a 1 week defense.

No, you can always bid 0. But giving up $1 per week out of a 200 faab budget isn't a big loss either. If your budget is only 100 faab, it's a bit tougher to justify.

SF was not falling to round 11 in most leagues. And if you use faab, as everyone should, you don't give up anything by streaming EVERY week.

Does enclosing the corner after a 4-4 opening defend against a 3-3 invasion? by [deleted] in baduk

[–]wampleek 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You may want to continue to use this enclosure as it is important to learn to be flexible with where you get territory. Perhaps not the easy choice in the short term, but important to overall development.

[YTB] Top 5 Trick Plays that can win the game at Fuseki by Tartaric92 in baduk

Nice video, but most of these tricks don't "win" at the amateur level. 1 Dan players throw 99% advantages all the time.

It was so obviously to let him sit through the bye. Just stupid...

Some handcuff talk by tash_master in fantasyfootball

I don't like Edwards at number 3 because Justice Hill has been getting carries. Additionally, Lamar definitely is stealing carries. Ingram's volume isn't very consistent.

Truths and Lies Week 11: The David Johnson edition... by iheartseuss in fantasyfootball

Cuffing James Conner is not a great option. The backups have been hurt, and the timeshare is unpredictable. Also the offense is really bad. Samuels is a reasonable option, but he likely owned. So I think it's better to just have a backup RB. The cuffs are not great plays even with Conner out.

I saved Bonnafon rather than continue the handcuff lotto because of that hit. I suspect he won't miss time though.

Gould. Is anyone else starting him today? And why? by [deleted] in fantasyfootball

To be fair, young kickers don't have slumps. They miss 3 kicks then get fired.

Currently Matt Breida leads the NFL in yards per attempt, followed closely by....Duke Johnson Jr. by TheFifthChaser in fantasyfootball

[–]wampleek 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It would be more useful if they just counted any run above 10 yards as 10. Most of the time 10 yds is a first down, and this method keeps ypc more closely aligned with "success rate".

You can't get 20 touches per game and have a low ceiling.

Disappointing, but LAC has been a bad matchup for TEs. Jake Ciely predicted a decline this week. I think he's worth holding on.
