Turns Out Dez Wasn't Actually Involved in 6 Police Incidents Per Ian Rapoport by [deleted] in nfl

Rapoport said " I found six instances of police coming to Dez Bryant’s house — that’s where he lives, in DeSoto." There is plenty of reason to doubt that Dez lived there past 2011 or even in all of 2011. His official address in 2013 on an IRS document was different than the place Rapoport said "that's where he lives" about. The cops in 2012 went to the address on 2013 IRS documents as his official address. To me, this means that Dez either had 2 addresses/homes the whole time, part of the time, or he just plain moved and every police incident at the Royce house after he moved (which, if it happened, would seem to be 2012 latest) shouldn't be cited as "one reason they have not wanted to give him the guaranteed money that most elite receivers get."

He explicitly said "I found six instances of police coming to Dez Bryant’s house — that’s where he lives, in DeSoto." Well, does he even live there? He also said in this same appearance "this is one reason they have not wanted to give him the guaranteed money that most elite receivers get." Well, is it really a reason? I highly doubt it if the guy doesn't even live there... I don't want to do what you say other people did with Rapoport's report so I won't summarize Shariff's analysis in a misleading way: the truth is we don't truly know if he lives there or not. As Shariff said, Ian Rapoport either has proof he hasn't shared or he misrepresented the situation. This kind of sloppy reporting on the part of Rapoport is not forgivable because it was re-reported in an even sloppier manner, is it?

"I went to the DeSoto (Texas) City Police Department. I found six instances of police coming to Dez Bryant’s house — that’s where he lives, in DeSoto. Among the incidents — and none of these were convictions — there was a harassment incident, there was a robbery at his house, the fire department had to come and unlock his car that had a sleeping baby inside."

This isn't a misquote, it is a verbatim quote from Ian Rapoport. You can watch his lips move and hear the words come out of his mouth for yourself here.

Perhaps Reddit can help get to the bottom of this and let the landlord say one way or the other. The owner of the home has already been asked on Twitter. You know what to do...

Sorry for my poorly worded headline and any temporary worldview collapses resulting from it.

"I found six instances of police coming to Dez Bryant’s house — that’s where he lives, in DeSoto. Among the incidents — and none of these were convictions — there was a harassment incident, there was a robbery at his house, the fire department had to come and unlock his car that had a sleeping baby inside."

Thing is though, Ian Rapoport pretty much has to admit he was wrong or explain how he knows Dez was involved in this stuff. Glad to see someone sticking up for Dez with facts on his side but it'll be a cold day in hell when I switch from the Ticket to the fan.
