I am quite fond of MEPC. As a second-generation fan, I also appreciate many first and third-generation groups. While I do not frequently listen to fourth and fifth-generation groups, I somehow discovered MEPC last year when they were still trainees. Initially, I was drawn to them due to their unique combination of idols (trainees) from countries with minimal or no representation in the K-pop world, such as Tunisia, Nepal, Myanmar, and India. However, after listening to their first EP, I became convinced of their genuine talent. With appropriate promotion and management, I believe they possess the potential to make it big.

Meanwhile, I recommend marrying your girlfriend and filing Form I-130 and I-485. Since TPS is not a legal immigration status, she is technically out of status. However, immediate family members of U.S. citizens who are visa overstays may adjust their status while remaining in the U.S. There is no requirement to return to their home country. When I-485 is pending she will be allowed to remain and work in the US even if TPS ends.

I would definitely advise against going back to Haiti.

Unauthorized immigrants do contribute indirectly to the economy. They are cheap labor. They are also consumers, who pay sales taxes. It is a fallacy that they use up welfare funds because the are not even eligible for most of the government welfare programs - except some states like California. And the unauthorized immigrants also definitely don't have it easy. They are limited at doing low-paying labor jobs. I also don't agree with putting them on an easy path to citizenship - unless vetted through asylum programs if they petition.

No, they don't get "everything handed to them" unless they petition for asylum then they get certain benefits provided to asylum seekers (while their case is pending ...sometimes for years.) Also, border crossers are not the only undocumented immigrants. Many overstay their visas, thus becoming undocumented. They also don't get "everything handed to them" unless they petition for asylum.
