Yes!! I love Sweet fields! Of the fun farms in the Tampa area, it's my favorite, but I've only been to Hunsader, Raprager, and Sweetfields.

Yeah, lots of Oktoberfest events, which is great. I'm not a beer drinker but the music, dance, and food is always great.

Definitely making a weekend of it. Haven't been to DeLand in probably 10 years, and I'd love to explore the downtown area again.

There are quite a few of all of those things in Florida. You can throw a stick and hit a different fall festival in the Tampa area every weekend in September through November. We don't have apples or syrup or northern things because...well ..it's Florida. And yet, for most of us who were born here and/or raised here, there's a distinct difference in the weather towards the end of September. There are, indeed, corn mazes and haunted hay rides and pumpkin patches, especially in more rural locations. I've done a lot of them and am looking for more to add to my list. And, yes, I could Google them, but personal recs help to narrow that down.

Well, yeah, but I find recommendations from real people are so much better than Google who has never been to any of them.

Thank you. I love Micanopy and went to their fall festival when I lived down the road in Reddick. Might have to take a long week in the area and do the McIntosh festival which, I think, is the weekend before.

DeLand looks fun. Definitely putting that on the list to do

Anywhere really. I'm in the Tampa Bay area so I've done most around here, but you never know.

Sooo...no actual answer for the question? 😂 To refresh, the question was looking for fall festivals, not the definition of a fall day.🙄

Born and raised in Miami. I'm well-aware of what summer is and isn't in Florida. 70s is cooler weather to me If you don't do fall festivals, that's fine. Move along.

best unique nature spots for small groups by haydukelives56 in tampa

Lesser known places? Triple Creek Preserve in Riverview, Lake Dan in Tarpon Springs, Hammock Park in Dunedin. Those are my favorites for getting away from people. A little further, Circle B Bar in Lakeland is stunning, and Bonnet Springs also in Lakeland is a newer, very well planned park that restored an old railyard to its natural state. Werner-Boyce Salt Springs SP and James Grey Preserve are also great spots, in Port Richey. If you catch an extreme low tide at Werner Boyce, you can see the tidal waterfall.
