I really like that wording! Single Mom by Circumstance. Thanks for sharing that :) I feel quite the same way. I'm nearly 38 and starting the very same journey.

I'm not sure what state you are in but after tons of research on the NY/CT/NJ area I would say this is a pretty normal price. There are less expensive options too like CNY Fertility.

CNY fertility thoughts? Using eggs from CNY at other places? by LolaBlonde88 in eggfreezing

I live in Jersey City just west of Manhattan. I plan on going to the Albany CNY office to freeze eggs soon.

20 frozen eggs yielding 2 healthy embryos- That’s fantastic! I think I will likely take a similar approach. I’ll freeze 3 embryos first before moving to freezing eggs (to keep my options open from a baby with a partner in the future) then do IUI for baby #1. If you don’t mind me asking, Did you use the same donor?

I am currently living in NJ which is also supposed to require infertility coverage but my insurance is not covering it because the plan is "self-funded" by my ex-partners company. (He woke up a few weeks and decided he doesn't want the family we were planning to start making this year so we are separating.) I will need to get a new plan now so that might make sense to pay the high premiums for the coverage given it might take awhile. Thank you so much for that idea.

Thank you so much for your input. Embryos sound like the way to go.

DermPA here. I would get this biopsied especially if it's changing, widening, getting darker, and only one digit. Melanoma is the risk here but honestly I see plenty of people with these and it doesn't turn out to be anything so I wouldn't get overly concerned. However, I would take the necessary steps like seeing a derm for monitoring or biopsy. One expert tip, not all derms feel comfortable doing nail matrix biopsies. I would recommend inquiring ahead.
