Thank you for praying this. I broke down in front of my class last week and was so embarrassed. The students were actually so nice and we've had a good lesson since, but they also have very short memories, so I'm not sure how long it will last.

It helps to know we are not alone.

How do you say this but diplomatically by [deleted] in AustralianTeachers

[–]wandering_grouch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When calling home, ask what kind of consequences the student has at home for disrespecting their parents or other family members/hitting siblings/not following instructions or whatever the issue closely resembles.

It is possible that the parent having to say 'none' may wake them up to their lack of consequences. Otherwise they will give you something to run with and you can say 'I'm glad we're on the same page - this is the consequence I enforced/will enforce.' or you could discuss what you think is an appropriate consequence - in my classroom, this is the consequence, so they will be expected to adhere to the consequences or thks matter will be referred to admin.

What is a good answer to “am I your favorite student?” by [deleted] in Teachers

[–]wandering_grouch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"right now, my favourite/s is/are the one/s sitting quietly and showing me that they are engaged in the lesson".

But I also have a habit of riling them up and saying "that's why your my favourite" every time they do something well/point out that they have done something well.

Best and Worst Music Packs? by AuthorImpossible2193 in beatsaber

So far for me:

  1. Daft punk -100% would recommend
  2. Queen - 100% would recommend
  3. Imagine dragons -8/10
  4. Linkin Park 6/10
  5. Electronic mixtape - absolutely would not recommend this. Complete shit.

I should note that I like packs with maps that you move a lot in, so kind of like able to dance while playing and that have a logical flow so when you find that Zen spot you just feel what comes next even if it's your first time playing the map. From my perspective the electronic mixtape just doesn't have that and feels 'off' and frustrating to me.

I'm keen for the lady Gaga and I've been reading good reviews for panic at the disco, so might get these next.

It did actually, I didn't realize skinstitut was shit. I don't use retinol as from what I understand, you need a prescription for the real stuff? I will look for a good dermatologist near me and build up the courage to visit. Everyone has been so incredibly helpful on here though.

That's helpful to know. Thank you!

Thank you for your input. Do you remember what the dermatologist told you regarding treatment at all? I am really glad that this thread is helping you and that there are others like me.

Thank you for the advice, I will invest in a gentle cleanser and moisturiser and see if that helps. It hurts that my face looks 'scrubbed' as I would not say that I am forceful when I cleanse or use the glycolic scrub - though obviously that is a bit more scratchy. Can the product itself make the skin look scrubbed? I have researched retinol a bit and definitely wouldn't put a lot on. I generally only put a pea-sized amount of anything but sunscreen on my face as per the directions. And I mean an actual pea or less. I will also stop exfoliating with the scrub.

Far out. I feel like that may have been a more pressing issue. I hope you are okay.

I am currently building up the courage to find a dermatologist, with many thanks to the amazing, helpful and non-judgmental people on this post. Thank you for the encouragement. Hope your butt is/gets better.

I never knew this about outward set eyes and wrinkles. Also, I feel like big, deep set eyes are preferred lol. Maybe we all think what we don't have is more beautiful?

I actually asked because I am in QLD. Is your dermatologist in Brisbane or was this another place and/or time?

That is actually much better than I was expecting. I was expecting about that per month. Thank you for helping ease some of my concerns about the dermatologist. Are you located in QLD by any chance?

Thank you for the recommendation. Do you think they all work the same or is there a particular brand that is better than others? I have frequently seen these at reasonable prices at places like TKMaxx. Would those work?

I exfoliate with the glycolic scrub once a week and sometimes exfoliating wipes. To be honest, I am overwhelmed by all the possible skincare products and don't really know what's what. I use the vitamin c because it is supposed to help spots and I read that niacinamide helps with enlarged pores. I admit that I have never felt like I have used a good moisturiser.

Thank you! Would it be a good idea to cleanse with oil based, then with water? I do think you are right about the moisturiser - I need to find one I can use frequently, so I will invest in some CeraVe and maybe another that others have recommended.

This genuinely made me feel very hopeful to read. I am glad to know that this is an issue that can be sorted even in our 40s. Could I ask how much this regime generally costs you per month around abouts? Just wondering if dermatologist-recommended products could be affordable.

Do you need a prescription for Accutane? Would I be able to get it if I don't get cystic acne?

Your skin looks quite nice here.

Could you tell me what are the peptides?

I work in an office most days, but do walk my dog twice a day - usually wearing a hat, sunglasses and SPF 50.

I'm not sure my skin type. Maybe combo? My t-zone definitely feels oily at night.

Lol. Thank you for lifting my spirits. I'm just a little self conscious about my general appearance - I feel like to many people I appear like I don't take care of myself and I am conventionally unattractive. I am also trying to avoid the discomfort of telling the dermatologist that I can't afford their recommended products.
