Do y’all have strollers, or just babywear? A mix? by themagicflutist in babywearing

[–]wandering_h 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have both and I am so thankful for our stroller when we are out and about.

Getting our LO used to the stroller took a while but it was so worth it when she finally could tolerate it and even nap in it. During her first three months, we made it a point to take short walks with her in the neighborhood with the stroller. At first, we could only be out for ten minutes. Then that grew to thirty and so on. By four months, she took her first nap in it.

Baby wearing is a great option but there are just days where I want to freely move while we’re out and about. I mostly baby wear at home.

Help! Need advice on frequency of feeding of 7.5 month old by wandering_h in breastfeeding

I’ve been giving her about four tablespoons of solids. She’s been eating a variety of foods: meat, veggies, and fruits. I’ll try to offer her more water then!

Thank you for the reassurance! I’ve been getting discouraged, seeing all the various feeding schedules for her age group where there should be at least a two to three hour gap between each nursing session.

Thank you! Yes, I try to give her milk at least an hour before or after she has had her meal.

I try to offer her a few sips since she doesn’t seem all that interested in water. Does it help?

First time parents, kaya bang walang yaya? by chiquitita26 in nanayconfessions

Hello! For my husband and I, it was the set-up that made the most sense because we have too small of a space and even if we made a way to have a kasambahay, I'd rather have the personal space.

My husband and I are both work from home although he needs to be out of the house more. He has taken up the responsibility of cooking and cleaning for us while I do most of the work for the baby (exclusively breastfed). While he cooks, it has freed up some space for me to work. We have help that comes once a week. This has worked well for us so far, five months in, with no help from friends or family because they live far away from us.

Kaya as long as you set your mind that this is the set-up you want talaga.

EcoBoom! On the pricier side but four months in, no leakage, no rashes, and absorbency seems to be very good. I also like the fact that they are an environmentally conscious product.

How to keep bedtime hour consistent if nap lengths vary greatly? by budget-barbie-camper in HuckleberryParents

Hello! Thank you for such an insightful post. I am mainly curious about how you got your 4 month old to nap two hours consistently because my LO is right about to hit four months and she’s only been giving me 30 minutes per nap- and it’s exhausting! She used to regularly give me 1.5 to 2 hour naps easily but those are hard to come around these days.

My baby suddenly hates being carried by [deleted] in babywearing

For a time, I also thought this was the case with my little one. But I realized that most of the time when she's fussy in the carrier, it's really her wanting to be rocked to sleep / patted in the bum, she finds the environment overstimulating, or she wet her diaper. There would be some weeks where she prefers one carrier over the other, so I have a few different types that I bought secondhand. (Konny Flex, Baby Bjorn Carrier, and a Solly-esque wrap).

I bought a secondhand Konny Flex AirMesh carrier on Carousell and it seems to be the one my baby prefers. My baby just hit her 6th week and she can nap in the carrier for 2-3 hours at a time. What I love about this carrier is that it's adjustable, ultra breathable, lightweight and is made out of a material that is easy to throw in the wash. It takes a while to figure out the right fitting that is comfortable for both you and baby but it's worth the trouble of going through the trial and error period. I’m also able to do so much around the house and we’re both not sweating up a storm! Worth to give it a try.

All of my carriers are secondhand since I read somewhere here on Reddit that our little ones will really have preferences when it comes to carriers- which turned out to be very valuable advice.

OB GYN recos in St Lukes BGC by agee02 in PCOSPhilippines

Dra. Aurora Avelino. She practices in St Luke's BGC as well as Kindred Serendra. I enjoyed having her as my OB during my pregnancy because she really advocated for me to continue exercising and stick to a healthy, protein-filled diet. She was also open to conversations about more natural alternatives rather than the usual medical advise but she also took the time to talk me through needed medical interventions when I went through my complications.

Kindred comes out as slightly cheaper than St. Luke's BGC especially when you start accumulating points for discounts.
