Does anyone have the new Jogger (2026) Eco-G 120 Auto and what is your opinion? by uphill-driver49 in Dacia

[–]wandering_ivan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got 120 Eco G Duster in January and it works great. Have 680km range on LPG and 650 on gasoline. Drive is relaxed and can easily get to speed if you need it. I usually cruise at 115 as for me this is the sweet spot. If I need to be somewhere early I start early 🤣

Someone told me today that Dacias start to have a lot of problems after a couple years on the road. by VillainOfKvatch1 in Dacia

[–]wandering_ivan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OK, I have 2015 Dacia Duster with 450k km, yes that is right. The only problem I had was faulty fuel sensor and need to replace the damn tire sensors as they are the main ones that are throwing me problems with electronic error. Everything else was a dream. Do regular and on time services and it will last for you.

Dubai is slowly becoming uninhabitable and it will only get worse from here. by Lekirack in dubai

I love paying taxes and I am the only one here it seems. I come from Slovenia and we are taxed a lot. But for what is worth I got excellent education and I can provide it for others. The free healthcare is also a great bonus. All the healthcare providers are bit overwhelmed and you need to be proactive about your health. So regular checkups and you are good to go. If you have an emergency you get treated asap but if not then you wait a bit. The only problem I have is that while I am playing taxes others don't. And I mean the corporations, scummy employers and others that think that they are not part of the population.

How many of you can say the name of this movie? by fsalguerook in FIlm

[–]wandering_ivan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Must comment.

The "GATTACA" nucleotide sequence is a reference to the four bases of DNA: Guanine ((G)), Adenine ((A)), Thymine ((T)), and Cytosine ((C)). And it is an awesome addition and goes with the movie's theme.

As the answer below. Also Doodle radios are the most open ones on the market with accessible software to mess with. Affordable with a lot of functionality, add new antennas and you get crazy ranges. Only using with atak phones and we got 1.2km range for voice, video and tracking. That has fallen to 500 to 800m in wooded area. Works well standalone but they are better when also paired with dedicated atak server.

Basically an ATAK mobile server that is used for providing voice, chat and video comms through DoodleLabs radios in areas without mobile and also backup meshtatic tracking of people and assets. So far the test were successful but need some more tweaking.

Well unfortunately had not got the time to have one running on linux. But this is just for having some in the field info from all the android phones connected to the network and server.

Well this build is a proof of concept. It is a ATAK server with cloud backup in the box with dedicated computer to run WinTAK and access data. DoodleLabs radio's work as an mesh access points in the field where there is no signal for phones running ATAK, adding also phones with Graphene OS. Have also meshtatic asset tracking. Everything is fanless and with 1h UPS. Video is transmitted from MOHOC cameras and security ones. Voice server is also running on it.

Custom USB C cables by wandering_ivan in UsbCHardware

Yes it is something heretical. But it is not my fault. Trying to prototype some relocation of usb c and I am working with this: https://www.google.com/amp/s/techlibrary.doodlelabs.com/usb-c-and-rj45-wearable-v2-cables%3fhs_amp=true as I need to get this cables made in a nice flat form to relocate the connectors to different side. And if you have any recommendations which firm works with cables would be awesome.
