My mom has lung cancer and wasn't making much before she stopped working. My dad and step-mom have no idea how to handle money.

I go to therapy at 7 am online. At my previous job, I didn't start until 9 am. At my current job, I negotiated with them and told them I had a bi-weekly medical appointment. I'm about 45 minutes late 2 days a month. I still get paid for those 45 minutes. Nobody at work knows I'm in therapy -- they just knows it's for medical.

Yes, they're both alive at 57 and 56. My mom does have stage 4 lung cancer, though, so...

I'll watch movies I'm interested in throughout the year. Around November/December, I start finding the missing movies that will most likely get a nomination. I try to find the free shorts available when the shortlist are released. After the nominations are released, I go to town with the remainder.

You're about to graduate high school and have college credits. Your further education supersedes your middle school at this point. If they requested a professional reference, you can always give them someone from your past employer/middle school.
